I have two similar 6 cell Intellect 4200 Batteries. One them charges fine, the other one don't charge at the 3+ amp I set it for. It stays at .3-.5 amps, as if it was trickle charging. I tried the cycle mode to see if it would discharge normal, but it doesn't, it also only discharges at .3-.5 amps.
The I test it with a basic peak charger, and it charges fine. I even ran my truck with it for about 30 min. with no issues. What could be the problem? I have other 7 cell and one 8 cell battery and this is the only one that gives me that problem. Could it be the battery memory?

I haven't heard of that before. It could be the connection on that particular battery. All other batteries charge and discharge fine on the 989?

New one to me too, I'd like to try to duplicate it.

2 questions come to mind.

Are you poweering up the charger before hooking battery?
WHAT is the voltage doing during the charge? (on the problem battery)
