i imagine not many suppliers will have the reacently released Superblades.

Wonder how long it will take east coast hobbies to get them.

I think ill just grab em from US hobby supply or direct from SS

Hey again Kel,

I can't find 'em @ ushobbysupply.com yet Also I have sent an email to eastcoasthobbies.com (here in NSW) asking when they intend to take delivery of their first shipment - I have not got a reply as of a few minutes ago - but I will keep you posted (via PM ).

Peter
P.S. If eastcoasthobbies doesn't answer by Monday, I may have to get them from super-skids.com

The first thing I saw was that the swash plate isn't level.
BTW, the video is too dark.

Don't wrap the antenna around the 4 in 1. Strech it out or wrap around the skids.
Couldn't see the vid, to dark.
If it's spinning reset the gain and propotioning pots on the 4 in 1 to the center then adjust in SMALL increments to stop spinning.
I've been through this many times too.

I keep having a problem with mine. It seems I have to keep adjusting the proportion on the 4in1 to keep it straight. One flight it will be good all the way through the pack and the next I will have to adjust it or the heli will spin. I upgraded to the 180 extremeSE motors. Do you think this has somethin to do with it? My last flight I had to turn it all the way right and give it 5 clicks right trim to keep it straight or it would go left. Motor or 4in1???

I finally fixed my spare V4 i made out of parts this morning.

Everything i used was stock parts except for the metal head and dynam flybar. I took it down stairs and took it for a test flight. OMG what a difference to my modded extreme V4.

I will take a picture of all 3 of my birds when i finish painting the extreme canopy for my V4.

I plan to sell the spare V4 i made soon (to a mate or ebay). After flying the stock one and modded one. All the mods are definately worth it. Best mod IMO is the servo arms and custom flybar (have to replace the head too).

I took my HBFPv2 for a spin this morning too and im progressing nicely, i think i need to spend way more time on the sims to get used to flying this one.

happy fly times all

Thanks,

Hey again G,

Adjust the "gain" pot on 4in1 till the shakes go away! The gyro gain doesn't need the lipo to be un-plugged and re-plugged in order to take affect

Hope this helps

Peter

Hey again Brendon,

If your mate doesn't want it and you end up listing it on ebay - ensure that you list all the parts - both original Esky and head/flybar details....
Buyers will be more likely to bid on an item if they know it is from someone who flies them .

Hey again Ronerik,

Neither - but more towards the motors. As they warm the torque produced can be uneven and send your bird into a slow rotation. The idea is to set-up your coaxial from the start again - with the purpose in mind of having the trim all the way in one direction at the beginning. During flight you will automatically adjust it as your lipo gets flatter, and ideally you should be landing with the trim all the way in the other direction. I can't set up your bird for you 'cause you are so far away - but it can be done!

ok so heres all 3 of my helis.

This is the new canopy i sprayed this morning for the V4. I got a little paint on the clear part but im waiting till the paint totally dries and then i rub it with steel wool. I just couldnt wait to take some pictures to show you guys. It aint the best paint job but its more for the fact that it will be easier to see in the sky.

ps. edited so the pictures are normal now ok. I uploaded them straight from my phone and they came out huge.

ha ha yes theyre HUGE!

How short is that flybar.
I made a home made adjustable with some weights off a honeybee flybar but i think its still too long and its
causing blade strikes in fast speed runs.

I think I figured it out. One of my batterys had the little prong pushed out so I think the heli was only running on half a battery. I put my other battery in it and it worked fine. Just not enough juice to turn both motors, One motor was getting all the juice and the other was barely getting any so the heli wanted to turn. It was driving me nuts trying to figure this out. Didn't notice it until I tried to charge the battery. Charger kept blinking showing faulty battery.

By the way, I have finally mastered the nose in hover. I don't know how but my thumbs just make it happen now without even thinking about it. Burned up 9 charged batterys practicing. It was like magic or something. I kept trying and trying and couldn't get it. Then put a battery in and my thumbs just knew what to do. It was like I had been doing it for years. It's weird now, like no challenge at all really. I don't know if I like the led's blinking in my eyes though. Kinda makes me loose track of if it's level or not. Hypnotizing......

EDIT: Yeah, that pack is done. Both my other packs work fine. That pack causes my heli to be uncontrollable. Lasted about 20 charges.......

Does anyone have any ideas for things I can adjust on my Hunter to eliminate (or decrease) the Toilet Bowl Effect? My Hunter flies great otherwise, but it does have a tendency to fly in little circles, like it is orbiting a small black hole in the middle of my family room. The nose stays pointed in a constant direction during this. It isn't a huge deal, but it is a bit annoying.

Is this something all helicopters do, or just coaxials?

Thanks!

Hey again JD,

As far as I know this a purely coaxial phenomenon...
The link between the upper blade grip and flybar is the place to start - "twist" CCW to lengthen this link ½ or whole turns!

Thanks, Peter!

I wouldn't have thought of that. I didn't even know that link was adjustable. That'll give me something to fiddle with later today.

Is there a relationship between the direction of the TBE rotation and whether or not the flybar link is too long or too short?

When I first got my Lama I was plagued by TBE in the end the magic adjustment was blade grip – not too tight, blades just move under their own weight. Isn’t the flybar link adjustment primarily for tracking? Ah Lama how many ways can we adjust thee?
