is this how it iis digitech?

yes exactly

however i did a bit of reinforcing there

on the most forward point BVM uses a plastic part to align the rudder with the fuselage.
i replaced this with a 6mm carbon tube.
this rod sticks now thru the fuselage , i will make the same former again , and use it in the same time as a part to hold the thrustpipe in place.

I am in the process of building a kit version Electra that I just got from a friend (he changed his mind and bought the new ARF version Electra). I am still deciding on which way to go electric or a Turbine powered conversion. I have been watching the Tam Jets 100 mm fan thread on RC groups , might be a good option for this aitrframe. If I go turbine it would be most likely a Artes Super Bee (14lbs thrust), I fly both electris and Turbine, but this is my largest electric kit so far. Waiting to see what develops with this project.

I have just started to build a kit version and will power with either my Wren54 or 44 gold. I think the 44 gold is the likely choice at the moment so I can keep the model nice and light due to the low weight of both the engine and fuel load.

Planning on a simple install without a bypass and using the lightweight Wren thrust tube. The 44 gold has nearly 11lb thrust with this tube so the model should go well.

O.K. guys.
Whom want to be first on the lists getting Electra turbine conversion?
Last night just lay up the first set of inlet. This inlet will be use as turbine or TJ100 fan.
Hope by end of next week I can finish all the parts and detail photos setting up turbine conversion. Once I got the turbine conversion done. I made it be easy enough to pull the turbine, bypass, tailpipe and turbine electronic out to drop in TJ100 fan system.
Watch for more photos coming next week.

if you need drawings or the parts
i can cut them for you
drawings are for free , as long no one uses them commercialy..
they are in CRD and PLT whatever you prefer.
if you need the parts they are all lasercut
i am also using Wrens thrustpipe for the job.. keeping it light

Sandor,

Thanks for the offer. I will let you know as soon as I have decided what engine I am going to use etc. I plan to start building the wings tomorrow once I have got my building board sorted out later tonight. Still reading the Electra build manual at the moment

Tam , I like your idea of a conversion that will allow both turbine and the Tamjet 100 mm fan, waiting to see your conversion kit , Keep the good stuff coming!!!
