Status: offline 		question. i have a TP 3 cell 2070mah Lipo and i am flying with a Frio 10 brushless motor. i usually charge my battery to about 12.2 volts and go fly. well, after about 5 minutes i land my plane and check the voltage and it reads about 11.3 or around there and when i check the voltage under load and full throttle the motor it drops down to about 10 volts. i understand that the voltage is saposed to decline.....but is it saposed to decline from 12.2 volots to 10 in just 5 minutes. i mean i get really short flights. the reason i went Lipo was to lengthen my flight time.

Status: offline 		Lipo cells can be charged to 4.2 volts per cell. In other words, your three cell lipo can be charged to 12.6 volts. They can also be discharged to 3 volts per cell under load. Most ESCs have a low voltage cutoff that can be set for 3 volts per cell. You should time your flights as well. A low voltage cutoff is a good backup in case you accidentally use a partially discharged battery. If you follow these guidelines you should lengthen your flights considerably. There is a lot of good info on using lipos in this forum that you might want to look over as well.
