ORIGINAL: Foxy Well, this is what 'My Models' is for in your profile, and it doesn't really belong in off topic, as it's RC related. Never mind, though, I suppose it gives us an opportunity to go into more detail. I currently have an Xray NT1 1/10th nitro pro touring car, with the Xray multi-diff, otherwise it's stock (can't improve on near perfection ) And two projects which are in my sig there, and are underway right now, both in mid transformation... The first is my HPI Baja 5b, the Stealth Bajomber, as I say, work is in progress, so don't ask for pics, yet. It started life as an RTR, but now has spektrum, and the following upgrades waiting to be bolted on... DDM air filter outerwear black DDM pullstart outerwear black Black Baja 5b Windows Black Mielke side pipe RR 18/55 steel pinion and spur PPH 27cc 4.3hp headkit (black circular type head) HPI alloy diff case Carbon rear upper deck Carbon full front shock tower Carbon roof plate Carbon front arm braces Carbon front upper chassis brace Carbon gear cover plate Carbon rear upper tank brace Carbon engine mounts Black painted body Black Darksoul OMF billet aluminium beadlocks Black Darksoul axle extenders Black DDM Biohazard billet aluminium gas cap Black billet aluminium choke lever Black shock socks Black billet aluminium HD turtle shock tower braces, front and rear Proline Badlands rear tires VVC SS lower shock cap set (to accept the 6mm shock shafts in stage 2) That's stage 1. Should be ready for photos and a vid in about a week, maybe 2, as an order has been inexplicably delayed from Holland. After April I'll see what to get next out of the list of remaining items I plan for the car... Allanach alloy clutch bell with steel insert Pico or TGN failsafe (haven't decided yet) Lauterbacher or Elcon clutch (haven't decided yet) DS Meaty chromoly steel dogbones and Turtle Racing reinforced drive and axle cup set ADA enclosed clutch bell carrier/engine mount GH alloy spur gear holder A secret I'm not prepared to share at them moment Lightened flywheel Billet alloy side engine mount (rear left, behind pullstart) TeamFastEddy stainless steel quick adjust turnbuckles AMS Chassis protector black Phatdad steel nutted hingepins (no more E-clips!!) Carbon rear arm braces Phatdad 6mm steel SS replacement shock shaft Kit Carbon rear chassis Black HPI main chassis Black billet aluminium pullstart handle Rhino full carbon fibre body (yes, that's right, a $300 REAL carbon fiber moulded body) Billet aluminium transmission case (custom anodised black, hopefully) Ultraviolet (blacklight) underbody lighting. That's about it. A few more small items may get added to that list between now and completion. This baja will be awesome. I also have a currently 'mostly' stock FG Monster Hummer, which is in the middle of a transformation into Herbie, the legendary wheelie pulling, mind of it's own VW bug. I have everything I need to start that project now, EXCEPT the pipe, which is painfully in the same missing order from holland, that I mentioned above. Now, it's just a matter of getting down to wrenching and waiting for the pipe... Stuff that will be on that car when complete is the following...Stage 1 items are already here and waiting to be fitted, stage 2 will probably be done over summer, while I'm on the beach with the Baja. Stage 1: RN Fat Tuning Monster Power S pipe FG Wheely Bar Alloy rear upper arms Alloy gear carrier Alloy brakes and fibre disc upgrade Monster Beetle Pro body MB Pro wing Alloy engine mounts Front cable disc brakes Shock socks Steel spur and carrier Lexan gear protector/cover Pullstart cover Stage 2: Alloy differential case set Alloy front wheel hubs Alloy rear wheel hubs Special wheelnuts Alloy diff carrier/rear bulkheads Alloy front bulkhead set Alloy front shock tower Alloy rear shock tower Ball drive transmission set Wow, that's a long post. So, both cars should be completely finished by Christmas, but don't think they are going to sit on the shelf til then! Oh no, plans were carefully made so that the cars are never out of action for more time than it takes to rebuild them. So regular progress shots and vids will be coming in another thread I will make in a few days, dedicated to these two projects. That will be posted in the large scale forum. Large scale gas cars. It's a sickness I tell ya. Someone's bound to ask the dollar amount on all that, and including the NT1, that's many thousands of $$ right there. Baja is already $3k worth, $4.5-5k when finished I'd guess. FG is currently pushing about $2k as well, and about $3k when finished. NT1 as it is with the engine, electronics and setup kit, is probably about $1.5k. That's $5.5k now, about $10k+ altogether when done. Money well spent. Showoff Just wait until I finish my hybrid turbine nitro electric steam powered computer controlled Nylint! I'll give you what-for!
