do what i did, dvx 400(same thing as the other kawi and suziki) put an anthena big bore kit on it. hotcams cams. k&n filter, power no intake. and full wite bos' exaust. beats all the piped and moded 450s

I don't see how your bored and piped 400 will beat a bored and piped 450? After all you just said that your modded beats all the other moddeds....

ANYWAYS...

As I said, my issue is Suzuki seems to be lacking in the quality department. The modded one I occasionally ride is nice though.

I have seen a bad ass YFZ-550 though, and no that's not a typo!

We have a LTZ bored by Yoshimura to 450cc. It is pretty nice, but I have seen a 484cc bore. We also have a Roll Design LOBO with a 250R motor bored to 330cc.

ok it will beat any stock 450. and keep up if not beat some of the modded 450s. no one really put the big bore kits on the 450's

Check out Factory FX, N-Style, and other companies for graphic kits.

I personally like this one.
http://www.teamecc.com/eshopprod_cat_2445-19688-19691_product_245424.TeamECC_Graphics_Kit_for_Suzuk.htm

I was wrong earlier, it is on a yellow quad, not white.

I don't quite understand what that means. In stock form it will lift the front off when you jump on the throttle, yes. That will happen on most sport quads unless you have suspension work done designed to eliminate that (example extended swingarm, long-travel, etc). It takes some time to get used to when trail riding. Coming through a turn and then you got a hill you can easily pop the front end up/jump it trying to climb it. It is really moreso throttle control really.

I personally enjoy performing.wheelies and other stunts.

My favorite I personally do is grab bar wheelies. They are simple and fun.

personally if i were to buy a quad right now it would be a Polaris 525 IRS, KTM 525 engine (one of the most reliable high performance big bore 4 strokes ever made), they look good, i don't know if it's a good or bad things having independent rear suspention (seems the quad would roll easily in turns, but on the flip side also seems it would help keep the front inside wheel on the dirt), i'm not a quad person myself, more into bikes, i know how good them 525 engines are.

ttoks, polaris also makes a solid axle with the 525 engine now.

I have ridden a stock z400, and a z with filter, jet kit, fmf powerbomb with Q2, and nerfs, tires, etc, and I ride a 400ex. Honestly, all three are descent in the power department. The modded z pulls a little harder of course, but unless you're on a track with long straight, the difference isn't enough to win the race. From my experiences all three machines are reliable as far as trail riding. They both can by upgraded to the mood, but the z400 would be better if you plan to bore it and run a high compression piston seeing it is liquid cooled.

I still say Suzuki is/was a little junky. My uncles LTZ was braking rather often. We don't have that problem anymore because the only thing still stock is the key, but maybe newer models are better performing?

I love my tricked out 400EX, but there are times when I crave more power.
