I purchased the AFPD when it first came out and Love it.
I've been using it on my Alienware computer with a GEFORCE FX ULTRA 256MB Video card.
I had to return my AFPD USB cable and you replaced it with a new hard case version. The new USB worked great, no problems.

My computer had to go in the shop, it wouldn't ramp up. I was told because my Windows was corrupt, everything was lost, pictures, video, etc. They cleared the computer and reinstalled Windows XP sp2. I installed the AFPD program. After the AFPD screen comes up and it's thinking a message comes on saying, "AeroFly Pro Deluxe main executable has encountered a problem and needs to close". This is the first program I've attepted to use since my went to the shop. I think I need some help, I'd sure appreciate it.

Lance

Hi Lance,

1) Tell me exactly what kind of hardware you have, especially 3D graphics card, CPU, and any other hardware installed, sound card etc.
2) What is the RAM size?
3) Which operating system are you using, XP 32 bit or 64 bit?
4) Tell me exactly what drivers you installed for the 3D graphics card.
5) Which addons do you have?
6) What is the version number printed on your main AFPD disk?
7) How did you install the main disk, addons, and patch (which version?), and what was the sequence of installation?

Thanks

Hi Lance, pls download and install the latest driver for your nvidia card, and your sound card. Then download and install patch 1.8.0.25 from here http://www.aerofly.com/www/downloads.html

Mike, YOU DA MAN!!! Thank you so very much. I did just what you said and I'm sim'n again. On my 50" plasma, it's too AWESWOME, WOW!!! GREAT product my friend.

It has been a pleasure dealing with a company with such GREAT support. I've recommended AFPD to everyone that talks about a sim. Just EXCELLENT!!!

I was wondering if you might now something. Every minute or so my picture skips. I've tried vertical sync on and off and it does the same thing. I have the screensaver off so I know it's not that. I'm thinking it might be my anti-virus program??? It's not a big deal as it's almost not noticeable, but still it's not right.

THANKS SOO MUCH,
Lance

Hi Lance, that's good to hear! Keep the vertical sync off. You need to ensure that your graphics card hardware acceleration is at maximum.
There could also be programs running in the background - disable power management, antiviral programs, emails, etc and scan for viruses and spywares.
