yes, they are nitro rustler rears. The gladiators wear alot better too, there is alot of meat to them, i run them on my nitro rustler, electric rustler and my jato also.

Gravel is a Tough surface for Tires....lol... Just like Driving a REAL truck on a Fire Road at Speed,,,,,SMALL steering adjustments are the order of the day.....
I like 2.2 inch rim/tires for Bashing.....(Stock rims are 2.8 inch,,,,like Proline 30 series) WHY?...Because I can fit some Fat Cushy tires on the truck, and still keep the STOCK tire height (no change in gearing). Lots of Traction and Good cushion for landing jumps.. Also, since most of the Weight is kept CLOSER to the Axle (smaller rims), the truck is a bit more responsive to Mid Air attitude adjustments, via Brake or throttle...
I use HPI rims with proline Mashers (medium compound). Here is a picture or two....

Ok.... Here's the Fourth installment of my Viper/Volcano Overhaul. We left off with the Engine installed and the Spur gear Mesh properly adjusted.
Tonight I am going to install the Steering Servo first, because it Screws to the chassis from Underneath. Next is the Top Plate/Radiobox, with the (Cleaned) Gas Tank, and the Throttle servo. This is pretty Staightforrward. The only thing to remember is to take care routing the Servo cables. We don't want to Pinch a cable, and we need to rout them AWAY from the drive shaft parts. The Front and rear shock braces go on now too. (I don't HAVE a rear shock brace, because it no longer FITS when you install Aluminum Shock Towers.) Next are the Bumpers, Front and Rear.
This is where I like to install the Rims/Tires, so I can get the Truck OFF the stand. The Tire/wheels SHOULD be fairly well aligned, since I took so much care putting the Suspension back together. I will make the final adjustments after the Electronics are fully installed..... Now I install and Adjust the Throttle/Brake linkage, taking all the time I need to get it JUST the way I like it. ( BKFamily did GREAT "How To" on the throttle linkage, so I wont repeat all that). Take your time doing this Step, as it is Crucial to the performance of your Truck. Dont forget your FailSafe!!!!
Almost done now!!! Time to hook up the Fuel/Pressure lines. This is easy on the Viper/Volcano, just keep 'em AWAY from the Spur gear! I like to use a Primer bulb (That big Blue one you see in my pictures is THE BOMB!), as well as a Fuel Filter..... Turn the Radio on again and double check the Throttle/Brake Linkage, and make any final adjustments to the steering. I will make the Final trim adjustments as I drive....which is what I am going to do Right after I mount the New body! The Next Time you see This body, it will have a few Battle Scars...Heh, heh!
Here are the final pics....

hi, ok now i understand! my fuel line isnt nearly that long and its never stalled once flipping over! i usually run over to check it out and up untill now its allwas stayed on!!!!!!! but thanks for the info
Hey, Eddie - got a set of Gladiator IIs in M2 compound, and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Easily the best upgrade I've made to my truck so far, including the Tmaxx shocks, header, and Team AE torque pipe.
Thanks for the tip! It's got WAY more traction overall, and with the foams the diameters are much more stable at all speeds, so the truck is much more directionally stable.
Edit - the Traxxas rims I am using, however... cracked one in my first tank of fairly easy running, and I've beaten the TAR out of the stock rims without damage. I might have to try something else. CA dissolver helps getting tires off, right?
