Hi, I have a Himoto eldorada that i upgraded my self looks sweet but some of the screws that go into the shocks dont tighten up and vibrate out when the truck is running... and the allan screws that go under the rear wheel hubs also have a problem because all of my stuff is the aluminium upgrade bought and installed my self... the allan screws dont fit the rear wheel hub and they do NOT... I say agina DO NOT!!!!!!!!! send special replacement parts to fit the new installation of parts that very irritating.... cuz i wated 6 days for them to come in and i cant even use them or drive my truck in general... The entier truck is decked out with aluminium parts except the servo links and the upper deck but lol i think the upper deck would be the least of my problems in a 35+ mpg curb accident so that will be saved for another day
Thank You,
Himotovx18

In the future, Buy a 3mm drill/Tap set (Dubro makes em) and tap all the holes in the shock tower and use the 3mm fine thread Hex screws, (Dubro makes THEM too).
Thats what I did when I upgraded my Truck to Aluminum shock towers. I also had to drill out the holes for the hinge pins....sigh.
You'd think they could pre drill em,,huh?

It's OVERHAUL time!.......
Remember all those parts I Posted in THIS thread???...http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=7338475
Well..Its time to put some of em to Use.
Doing a Complete Teardown/Inspection/Upgrade......
Will Post Pics of the PROGRESSION.....
So far, Ive torn it ALL down. Inspected and rebuilt the Diffs and Suspension. Replaced a Broken lower rear arm and a couple of Bent Lower Arm PINS. Opened/cleaned/Lubed/resealed all the Bearings.
Finally installed the Aluminum Shock Towers, (which I've had for a Long Time, Lol ).
Last but not least, I repainted all my Dogbones (2 new ones) a nice, Bright, Flourescent Orange!

To be continued.......
