guy4x4 -> **OFFICIAL** 1/8 Rancho thread (4/4/2008 10:48:31 PM)

Ok here is my Rancho To start off the thread in pics is the axial I had in it just pulled it out as I thaught the clutch was bad but it happens to be the engine,when I pulled it fuel pored out and when I turn flywheel by hand it sounds like grinding so I will put the .27 infinity back in that I never used.[:)]

I used a drill start so I might have screwed it up im going to take it apart and see hope it's not much it's brand new.[:(]

HimotoRacingUSA -> RE: **OFFICIAL** 1/8 Rancho thread (4/4/2008 10:53:46 PM)

probably the gears in the rotostart backplate.

guy4x4 -> RE: **OFFICIAL** 1/8 Rancho thread (4/4/2008 11:05:01 PM)

Never thaught of that will look tomarrow thanks Eddie.

rclynx -> RE: **OFFICIAL** 1/8 Rancho thread (4/4/2008 11:50:11 PM)

Thats some big tires for a Tornado [&:] am I on the right forum [:@]........lol............Could someone tell me if that chassis is pretty much the same as the Avalanche.............can I say that [sm=71_71.gif]

guy4x4 -> RE: **OFFICIAL** 1/8 Rancho thread (4/5/2008 12:26:13 AM)

It's a smaller chassis same as the Earthquake stock tires.

HimotoRacingUSA -> RE: **OFFICIAL** 1/8 Rancho thread (4/5/2008 12:36:35 AM)

the rancho pro has the elongated chassis :)

guy4x4 -> RE: **OFFICIAL** 1/8 Rancho thread (4/5/2008 12:39:34 AM)

I have the pro so it must be elongated what ever that means LOL [:)]

HimotoRacingUSA -> RE: **OFFICIAL** 1/8 Rancho thread (4/5/2008 12:53:20 AM)

the chassis is about 1 inch longer than the standard one

webbl19 -> RE: **OFFICIAL** 1/8 Rancho thread (4/5/2008 2:33:43 AM)

hmmmm....you say a grinding sound when you turn the flywheel? was it the roto start? when you are turning the engine over is it turning the clutchbell at all and making the wheels want to move?

i have never had a axial but i do have that .27 infinity in my exceed buggy that i bought and i have to say that thing kicks some butt!!! way BETTER then that VX engine i got!!!

Yes it sounds like grinding or something not right I was using roto start when it happend and clutch bell not turning at all.Glad to here .27 infinity kicks butt I just fininthed putting it back in it has a pull start.

webbl19 -> RE: **OFFICIAL** 1/8 Rancho thread (4/5/2008 9:37:22 AM)

I hooked a roto start up to my vx.18 and i hated it....the pull start to me is way better....

So when you took the roto out did you see that any of the gears were missing?

guy4x4 -> RE: **OFFICIAL** 1/8 Rancho thread (4/5/2008 10:17:20 AM)

The gears looked ok did not see anything missing but when I took it out turning engine by hand I did not hear or fill grinding but when I put it back on the grinding came back and it was hard to turn maybe the roto start was locking up the engine.

HimotoRacingUSA -> RE: **OFFICIAL** 1/8 Rancho thread (4/5/2008 3:27:53 PM)

is the gear mesh ok, not too tight?

pede_187 -> RE: **OFFICIAL** 1/8 Rancho thread (4/5/2008 3:37:27 PM)

does the rancho use hex extenders like the avalanche

HimotoRacingUSA -> RE: **OFFICIAL** 1/8 Rancho thread (4/5/2008 3:41:18 PM)

since i dont personally have a rancho yet, i dont know. I will find out or let guy 4x4 answer that one for you.

guy4x4 -> RE: **OFFICIAL** 1/8 Rancho thread (4/5/2008 4:19:37 PM)

If your talking about hex extenders for the wheels then I would say no mine don't have any I was looking at them are they any good.

I'm just going to get a pull start for the Axial and run the .27 Infinity for now I heard some good things about it.

HimotoRacingUSA -> RE: **OFFICIAL** 1/8 Rancho thread (4/5/2008 4:24:26 PM)

so you must have the rancho then, the rancho pro is the exteded chassis.

guy4x4 -> RE: **OFFICIAL** 1/8 Rancho thread (4/5/2008 4:28:22 PM)

Im not sure it came with all the aluminium parts all ready installed and .27 Infinity.

HimotoRacingUSA -> RE: **OFFICIAL** 1/8 Rancho thread (4/5/2008 5:02:37 PM)

i will find out exactly what the diffrences are. lol

guy4x4 -> RE: **OFFICIAL** 1/8 Rancho thread (4/5/2008 5:15:32 PM)
