I am curious about the effect of mounting a 16oz fuel tank pressurized with a Cline regulator sideways in the fuselage. This would enable me to place it on the C.G. I have chosen. I can visualize problems. I have plenty of room so as to not kink any fuel or pressure lines.
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
Jerry

The clunk needs to be at the rear of the tank - rear relative to the nose and tail of the plane. If the tank is rectangular and mounted sideways, then the clunk is to one side, say the left side (rear of tank), you are likely to run out of fuel in a sustained left bank turn. The fuel will run to the right side (front) of the tank, and the clunk will not. If you decide to do a knife edge run with the right side down, the clunk will be out of the fuel.

Thanks for your input...the only way I could see it working would be to shape the tube inside the tank 90 degrees, aligned with the "nose/tail" or the back of the tank or place a tee in line with two leads one going to the back and one to the front of the tank.
I think I will just forget about the idea, TOO HARD....
