Excuse me, do not participate in the discussions because I do not know the language well. I follow developments on the construction, you're fantastic. hello GIANLUCA

I'm working on tires for my wheels. I am at a loss on how to replicate the nomenclature on the sidewalls. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's a product I found at the local art supply shop called Balsa Foam. 7 lb. density. It's pretty soft stuff.

Scott..the tire foam looks right size. I just want to say in addition, let us try to stay on track with the project here. I have been guilty..and retracted extraneous stuff. Let's try to post substantial work here on the aircraft in question, or it gets boring.

That said (sorry if it was a police action, we are all doing that appropriately ), Merry Christmas, Hanukah, e.t.c., and may we all be gifted a nice Laser engine or something this time around (call the Treasury department, I here they're taking requests). -Eric

those of you who are thinking of putting in a big laserV engine might be surprised with the laser 200V performance that i'm going to use.....check out Richards new site under 1/6 scale build...a guy here in the UK (daveq) has posted his flying with a 200 and weighing 19lbs.....very impressive.....also it goes in well.....and there's plenty of room for a scale engine

Cool Dave, that's been my plan all along (V200 Laser). I hope they'll weather the economic storm long enough..well I am optimistic.

Dare I ask if anyone has contemplated electric setups? I am seriously considering it but have no experience with electrics. My reasoning is that if I need more weight in the nose, just add more batteries! Why add weight that is only good for balance when you can add weight that will give you more flight time, more cycles of the retracts, etc.?

My apologies for not posting more progress. As Dave mentioned I have the "Corsair Information Site" that is taking off but I am very busy moving into my new house too. Plus, getting it ready for Christmas.... Geez... I wish I was better at juggling! I don't even have my shop ready yet. Most of my tools are still in boxes so I'm afraid it will be next year before I am able to get back to work on my cockpit. In the meantime I am enjoying the progress that the rest of you are making. Keep up the great work!

For exactly that reason I was opting for the Laser 300v or even 360v, with the added bonus of turning bigger props.
But after some carefull consideration, I prefer having an engine with all parts inside the cowl (even both carburators, which I will control via to channels on my transmitter - whoever invented the 14 channel transmitters should get a statue), so it will probably be the laser 200v.
I will move my radio gear more forward to get the right balance, and besides with the mechanics for movable cowl and radiator flaps build in I will have plenty of weight in front of the cg.

Danny

P.S. Flying electric is like playing Mickey Mouse flower picking games... for girly girls.

LOL! I won't respond to that.... darn it! Don't want to start a Gas vs Electric war...

I will just have to research a lot before I decide which to get. I like the sound systems that will give a true Corsair engine sound but I have to have power! I will have to look around in the electric forum I guess.
