Hello, everyone!

I am planning to buy a "HPI E-10 Murcielago" or "HPI RTR Sprint 2 Sport Toureza."

Which one is better? Which one is more reliable? What are difference between these two cars? Is there a significant difference of performence and long-term reliability?

Your answers will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I was readin thru one of the other trends on here ( mighta been in the ON-ROAD forums ) but the E-10 is just a budget type of car. If you upgrade the motor and ESC, you'll start running into problems.

Now the sprint, IF you want a good RC car, thats what you'll want to get over the E-10, The E-10 WILL be cheaper ( around $100 cheaper ) but the sprint is just the better car to get. Better upgrades, better quality, better car

Thank you very much for your answer. Your answe helps me a lot. Now I am clinging to a Sprint.

Is a Sprint 2 faster than an E-10? Is this car very reliable without mechanical problems?

Sprint 2 is faster then the E10

Sprint 2 is Belt Driven and the only real concern is the rear Belt but just grab a few spare ones and you will be right..

Sprint 2 has better gearing options and will allow you to enter in a few classes of racing aswell as being able to drift really well

the sprint2 is a great car and just mod the rear diff and you wont have problems chewing belts. i have both and like the sprint2 better. it handles better and has a smoother feel to it. here are some pics

How do you mod the rear diff? I just had a small rock stuck between the belt and diffs and it damaged the belt.

Overall I like this car alot.

I'd like to know about the diff mod as well...

HpiDrifter420 -> RE: HPI E-10 vs. HPI RTR Sprint 2 Sport (4/24/2008 8:18:39 PM)

ok your going to have to take your car apart to do the rear diff mod but you have to take it apart to change the belt anyways. basiclly take a dremel and cut along the lines showed in the picture. that allows most stuff to pass thru without getting stuck. its a simple mod that helped me out alot. ive had the car for a year and onli had to change one rear belt and that was before i did the mod. im still on my original front belt

Thanks for the tip!

Doesn't sound too complicated to do , I'll give it a try.

its really easy just make sure you keep track of what screws go where.

What are some good mods for a sprint 2? Gearing for drifting??

anaconda1 -> RE: HPI E-10 vs. HPI RTR Sprint 2 Sport (6/19/2008 8:26:25 PM)

jus get the cvd's, carbon towers, spare belts, dremmel rear diff case and lock it w/ ca or shu goo, and replace the front diff w the optional ball front spool. All these options are all u need to terrorize the track and very affordable prices!! good luck and enjoy ur brand new drifting maniac machine:)

MtlRcDriftKing -> RE: HPI E-10 vs. HPI RTR Sprint 2 Sport (7/5/2008 4:51:20 AM)

well, they say that to run a sprint it has to be on a very flat and clean surface. if not , dirt will eat up your belts. and on the other hand the E10 is more of like your everyday car. but if i was you, i would go for the sprint 2 drift sport hands down! [:D]

MarkRacerX -> RE: HPI E-10 vs. HPI RTR Sprint 2 Sport (9/9/2008 9:06:07 AM)

Tires are NIGHT/DAY difference over the stock ones, I have the SUSHI tires, 3 sets for $10 on ebay, drifts at slower speeds too, no need for full throttle to carry nice drifts!
I love my Sprint 2 Drift car :) I have to do the diff. mod, already chewed up rear belt in a matter of few weeks...

Enjoy!
