One stupid question that I have is what size is a 12g wire in metric system.

Status: offline 		Depends where the plane/info comes from :

If it's 12g in American Wire Gauge (AWG) it's 2.05mm

If it's 12g in British Standard Wire Gauge (SWG) it's 2.64mm

Status: offline 		I think it's English because the drawing of the Pitts S1 is drawn by N. McFarland and bought from modelflying.co.uk.

Is there in that case some relation between 12g and 2.64mm and for example 16g.
