The 425EP is now available for a paltry $499.00. Guess I'll wait three more days for the Esky 900.

Hurricane425 CF Kit Includes :

1. Carbon Frames,
2. GAUI 1500w / 1100kv BL Motor
3. GAUI50A ESC with Heat Radiator
4. GAUI BEC
5. Fiber Glass White Canopy
6. GAUI 425mm Fiber Glass Blades

For the same size as the Trex 500, I would go Trex all the way. You can get the Trex 500 GF for less than that. I don't mind all the gearing and bell cranks on the 550 because it is bigger but to deal with it on a smaller Gaui is really not worth it.

Apparently they've dumped the 860kv motor that was for the 550 too.

have you looked at the frame for the Gaui 425? it looks like they chopped the front off the 550 and slapped a short boom on it... I really think Gaui dropped the ball on this one. it's almost like they were in a rush to have something...anything that was in the same size market as the trex 500..there is no way I'd ever think about buying one.. I'm going to buy a 550.. it's bigger and cost a lot less..
