rhyspw -> Flightpower LiPo's (4/6/2008 11:31:46 AM)

I am currently using a 2500 Mah 4 cell flightpower packs. However i stupidly left one of the cells plugged in the aircraft overnight, this completely flattened the pack. I realize that this is not good for them and it will affect their performance in future, but is there anything i can do to revive them? - even if they don give me the performance they once had.

Many thanks

Rhys

Do not worry, Rhys, if the cell voltage is over 3.0V, you can balance the battery pack with lipo cell balancer first, and then cycle the battery pack at 1A for 3 times, the battery will recover its performance. even the cell voltage is only 2.7V, you can also do it as above method. for any questions feel free to email me directly.

ouch.... high-dollar oops.

Your luck will depend on your charger... some really dont like "dead" packs and will balk at any attempt to charge.

If your charger will pick it up and go, I'd first charge it as a 1000mha pack (about 2.5hrs+)
Cycle it a time or two nice and easy, then recharge as normal.
Of course, balancing it real good is top priority - take note of any cell that does not act like the others.
If one cell wont stay in-line with the rest you should probably trash the pack.
