I have a Titan SE installed in a 1/6th scale F16 in an open installation.
Spectrum 2.4
Test runs yesterday only would allow the turbine to reach about 110K rpm. I dismantled the intire install and replummed the fuel tanks, fixed a leak, changed the fuel pump, fuel solenoid, uat, clunks, etc, every possible senerio I could think of. I even changed out the motor with another Titan SE. Tried different batteries. The only common factor now is the ECU.
Today I test ran and It got to 114K.
I read through some prior threads and found a fix on a fuel voltage issue and tried that, but my fuel pump voltage is not low.
Last max pump 4.80
last max rpm 14100
max pump 4.8
max rpm 114100
throttle 100%
Any help would be great in hopes of not having to send it in.
Thanks
Scott Marr

Hi Scott, whats the temps? and did you get the 100% throttle from your ATV setting or the rc check menu in the GSU?

Hi Scott,

While at idle, hold the manual key. SLOWLY accelerate the turbine to full (take at least 10 seconds to make the transition)

Leave the turbine running at full power for about 20-30 seconds. Release the key and return to idle. This will reset the PID loops and let the turbine go to full RPM.

Let me know if this works OK for you.

PS On Friday I saw a P-160SX for the first time flying an Ultra Lightning. Unreal power.

Man you guys are fast!!!
Have you ever taken something off to replace and then to replace it with the very same one you just took off?
I went through everything I had done and realized I had taken off the fuel solenoid and replaced it with the same one!!!
I changed the fuel solenoid with a new one and it went to full power no problem.
2 full days of screwing around and it ended up being the very first thing I thought I replaced.
FYI I bought 2 new solenoids at FJ this year thinking they were Jetcat solenoids. After having this problem I have noticed they say Jetronics on them and obviously they do not work.
Only good thing from this was I found a leak in the fuel tanks.
Thanks guys!!!!
Matt I cant wait for my SX to come!!
Scott

Yes you had a restriction then. If they get junk in them, to me they are then junk, I think some guys are able to clean them, maybe Rick Silz knows how.

Rob Janiger had a heck of a time with an ARF tank that had a piece of loose glass delaminate and clog the cluck. Took days to figure out.

Jettronics solenoids=JetCat BTW

Sorry Matt, have never seen a blocked or partially blocked fuel solenoid. Have seen propane valves that get crud and won't fully close. If the silver can filter is in place ahead of the solenoid there shouldn't be anything sizeable getting thru. My bet is that the solenoid had a mechanical problem that wasn't allowing it to open all the way. I have seen some solenoids where the slider tube inside has been bent slightly and they don't work right. This is all old valve style and I haven't done anything with the newer type.

The old solenoids can be taken apart. Pull the clip off the back and slide the coil off the slider tube. Have to make a small tool that will fit the two dimples on the valve block to unscrew the slider valve off the block. Clean it up and reassemble. Trick is in the tool being strong enough to unscrew the slider as it's very tight.
