Not in person no, but if its like the rest of the flyboy stuff, its not close to scale, decently built for the most part, uses crappy covering and flys well.

The H9 looks nice..... The motor needs some much dressing up.
The pilot looks like a goon patrol.... Thats about my only complaints...
Justin

The pilot looks like he took a bullet up from underneath him.... what's with the giant stare and stone-face expression, eh? Time to get out the fine-tipped brush and the acrylic touch-up paints. I agree, too, that the engine could use some silver paint here and there, and maybe some tubing and wire detailing. Dunno how worth it this is, though. Sometimes when you do one thing nicer, the rest of it starts looking too plain! I mean, we should add rib stitching to the Ultracote covering job, or what? Best to leave it semi-scale, then you can put a tailwheel on it if you want.

I think Hangar 9 has a winner here. Not only is it reasonably priced, it is bright and colorful and pretty accurate in the profiles and proportions, and it can be powered with smaller four-strokers which most of us already have. And while compact and easy to transport, it is still IMAA-legal at 63" span. I have a NIB Magnum XL 91RFS four-stroke that would be perfect for this one, and hey, it can even be mounted upright inside the cowl. Another big plus no flying wires. Looks like those wings would come off pretty easy, with minimal set-up and take-down time. That you gotta like. I'm gonna have to back order one of these...

Im afraid Im gonna have to do the same. I like the Sopwith Camel a lot too, but the flying wires kinda makes it a little pain to disassemble. Besides, few ppl at our field fly german planes except me and one other guy that has a Balsa USA DVII

Alright Kahlog! I will reserve a spot for you under my WW1 German flags at the WOR. Maybe we could partake in a Kolsch and Brat!
I have added a few more little details to mine to make it a little more competitive I hope.

Mr. Evil:

Just a little information you might find interesting regarding the up-side down sub-wing comment. The original plane flown by Hauptmann Rudolph Berthold was painted and designed this exact way. I say Kudo's to H-9. Most planes were painted and designed by each pilot (as long as they lived). The Germans had little in the way of hiding... Now that's confidence.[)]
