Just got to live long enough for Hangar 9 to actually release it LOL LOL LOL
Their saying late June,that's a laugh.
They said October 2007 for the B25 it's out to Late May 2008 that's 7 months late and counting,
They said March 2008 for the Pulse XT 60 now it's blown out to Early May,SOOOO Far
My wife buys me planes for Xmas and my Birthday,[lucky old bugger],still waiting for my B25 from 2007 Xmas and might be lucky to see it for 2008 Xmas the way these people are going.
I own 16 Hangar 9 planes out of a total of 17 models that I've got,but am starting to take a serious look at other manufacturers products that at least can deliver when promised.
It's a real bind that I love their product and am prepared to pay huge amounts for airfreight from the USA to Australia for them,however if they can't deliver in a timely manner I think it's time to spend my $$ elsewhere.

I can't comment on the other Hangar 9 offerings but my local hobby shop has had their B-25 on the shelf for a couple of months now. Interesting! Maybe it is because you are outside of the United States but I don't know why that would be a factor.

You are so lucky to have a wife that supports your hobby. I could not imaging getting a thing hobby-related from mine. I gave up adding those things to my birthday wish lists because I knew I wouldn't get them. Count your blessings, Friend.

Status: offline 		One would think that Hangar 9 would realize that in the publicity photos the sub-wing is upside down... the bottoms of almost all subwings was light blue. In fact very few of them have been seen with a lozenge top too.

I can't wait till I finish my BUSA bird.

Status: offline 		Its gotta be the AUS distributors because the H9 B-25 has been out since Oct 07. I know this since a friend of mine bought one and got the free .32 size 2 stroke motors already installed. He took them out and put OS 70's in the plane though. After checking Horizonhobbies website, it lists the plane as backorder until May 08. This is probably due to just waiting on another shipment to arrive from the manufacturer.
There are at least 2 of these sitting at one or our local hobby shops right now. If you really wanted, I could ship one to you. The retail price at most stores is $399, but this store usually sells things less then the standard price found at Horizonhobby.com(the parent of Hangar 9). I got the 1.50 size P-51 for $409 when they sell everywhere else for $499, so expect probably a 50 dollar reduction from the $399. The shipping though would be quite a bit I think, but you'd have it well before any other AUS dealer. I checked UPS.com and it gave me a rather high quote of $708. DHL was $900, but USPS(United States Post office) was $130 using Melbourne as the ship to location. The only problem with USPS is the size limit for non-freight packages. Girth is limited to 79 inches to AUS from what I was able to gather. Some countries go up to 108, but AUS was not listed.
If you know of some ship method cheaper that I could get for you, let me know.

Status: offline 		Its an awesome looking plane. Id like to get one and do have a saito 91 sitting around that should work just fine....but it'll be a bit. Other projects in line first.

I could also just slap an e-flite Power 60 in it as I have the batteries available already....just glow sounds so much better.

It is ment to be Bertholds plane but it is modeled as a later model DVII not an early as his was. Also his plane had the green streaks down the side it was not red all the way down. I will post a pic of his plane later.

Status: offline 		Yeah it was an early Fokker build (Schwerin). Not too far off from the build I'm currently doing (a Jasta 10 bird).

Since the bird in question was built before D.376/18, it also would have no louvers.

Go to album 15, and photo 56 shows his bird quite well. There is also evidence that the area around the cockpit was streaky red/brown not a solid red like the nose.

Some nice information on Berthold:

Hptm. Berthold was not a member of Jasta 15, at no time. At this point in time Hptm. Berthold was Kommandeur of Jage. Nr.2. His regimental colors of the 3rd Brandenburg Infantry Regiment nr.20 colors were dark blue and red trim. He first used these colors when he commanded Jasta 18 before he was shot down on 10 october 1917. When he was given command of Jage Nr.2 on 20 March 1918, he adopted his Jasta 18 markings of October 1917. These markings were adopted by the switched Jasta 18 to Jasta 15 by trading War Diaries with Jasta 15. Both units retain all their equipment and personnel, they just traded War Diaries. His Pfalz D.IIIa was painted in Jasta 15 markings, and Jasta 15 became Jage Nr.@ Stabs Jasta. With the Fok,D,VII he altered the color join from forward of the cockpit on the fuselage, to mid cockpit and that became his personal markings as Jage Nr.2 Kommandeur
