I can weel recommend "RC Basic" as a good simulator. I used it as part of my learning experience, and it helped a lot.

You can download it from www.rcgliding.co.uk

I think you can also use your transmitter via USB if you have the appropriate cable, although I grew up in the ZX Spectrum era so am happy using keyboard control!

rcpilot you may find that using a keyboard with the simulator doesn't help as much as you expect as you aren't teaching your brain "muscle memory" - sure you can fly the plane, but not with the same controls you have on your TX. End result may be you desperately looking at your TX trying to figure out the correct control while your plane careers into a tree.

A two stick playstation style controller for ¥our PC will be better than nothing if you can't make your TX work with the PC.
