I am putting together a Lanier Stinger 10. It is a farely small aerobatic (non-3D) airplane. I'm running with a 270mah 4.8 NICAD battery pack, (3) HS-225BB, and (1) HS-81. I have one of the older 5-channel dual conversion receivers (I guess you don't make these anymore). My question is what are my alternatives to reducing the length of the antenna wire that extends from the airplane? I know enything I do will reduce the range and I can accept that. As I indicated above, this is a small airplane and the normal dual-conversion range with fully extended antenna would make this airplane invisible. It is not however, a park flyer, so the normal single-conversion range may be too short. Right now most of the antenna would hang out of the airplane like a combat airplane ribbon.

1) How much can I wrap around a plastice or wood bobbin? (Was there something unique about the Electron 6 that allowed for this option?)
2) How much could I actually cut and would this be preferable to wrapping around a bobbin?

Alternatives and information regarding antenna lengths are detailed under "Antenna - Rubber Duckie, Micro & Whip Flywire - replace long aerials with loaded base antenna" on my web page.
