Ehirobo takes from 1 to 5 days to ship, Rchelicoptershop claims they ship the day of purchase (within reason). Right there is a difference in shipping times by up to 5 days. Add that it is coming from hong kong and easily you can see a 2 week shipping time if you are lucky.
To bust on a overseas businesses shipping practices is almost silly, the loss of one customer isn't going to even put a dent in thier business. I guess my point is that b*tching about the delivery time without checking the shipping policy first and the online vendors reputation is a bit pointless. I take into account where my vendors are located and I also do some serious investigating before i commit my money to anyone I am not standing face to face with. I made that mistake ONCE.......... and I learned a valuable lesson.
But CH, i will say that in your case, dealing locally will be a decent solution for you. Just keep in mind they get all thier parts from other places too, sometimes they don't have the parts in stock you need and have to order them. Oh Wait! Another 10 days till it arrives at your LHS! It is a viscious cycle and can easily send one over the edge and to the nearest dumpster to dispose of the remains of a once proud fleet. Of course there always is knitting to keep one occupied.....................................
