Hi Rob,
There are two red blinking LED's that could be blinking. One is located on the on/off board and indicates that it is on and ready to receive. The other red LED is located in the receiver with a small indicator window, telling you that it is writing to the SD-card which serves as a log, if it is inserted.
So have you ever had it connected to your computer and have you configured it? You need to specify which system you are using and then initiate a scan to bind it to your transmitter. This has to be initiated within 30 seconds of turning on the receiver with battery power.
Did you initiate a scan, so that it connects to your transmitter? You can download the most current manuals on the website which will guide you step by step.

Thanks,

Gerhard

OK, I'm trying to install the soft from the Weatronic disc but it is asking me for Direct X and an activation code?

OK, I got the Rx. to speak to my laptop and move servos once I chnaged modulation to PPM12 same as my MPX Tx. (dont ask me how ) So far so good.

I assume I need the SD card loaded to be able to log stuff?

Hi Rob,
I see that you have achieved to install the software. ActiveX is an installation software that is needed to install non Windows software into the Windows environment. The SD card is used to load the Firmware upgrades and also to store the log files. It will create a log file every time you switch on the receiver. Make sure that you also do a scan, so that the receiver can exactly tune in on your Tx. This is very important.

Thanks Gerhard, yes, I did a scan and was surprised to find my Mpx Tx synth module was slightly out by 1.2Khz. Also set the servos up in my Eurosport, I have to say the more I play with the Weatronics the more I like it.

Only thing I am wondering about now it where to put the antenna's, I was going to have one go down one wing leading edge and maybe the other on a whip. For the whip I may have to double back to use up some of the length...any suggestions appreciated

Rob.

Hi Rob,
Sounds like you are getting all under control. Once you get all the details you will find it more and more useful. Leading edge and Whip is just about ideal. Just keep the overall length the same. If you use a 50 cm whip antenna, cut off 50 cm off the receiver antenna and attach the whip to make up for the cut portion. Do a range check and analyse before you go flying.

HI Guys,

Regarding the SD card, then must it remian in the receiver during flight to have any data to review or does the receiver have another way to save that data and you can export it via the SD card?

Thanks for your patience, just want to make sure I don''t do something silly.

Dave

Hi Dave,
Sorry for the delayed answer. The SD-card has to be in the receiver to record data. No other options to tranfer data after a flight. This makes sure that even if the receiver gets broken in a crash, you will be able to retrieve data as long as the SD-card survived.
