The weather is still garbage here anyway, sunny but windy enough to blow a dog of the chain, August is well known as the windy month.

The weather may well be garbage where YOU are, but it's a big World and we're finally starting to see some reasonable flying weather here!(UK) I'm struggling to understand how Olympic security concerns prevent shipping containers from LEAVING China - I can understand how stuff going INTO China may be affected.

Hi Gordon

I agree, wheres the security risk with sending glow/gas engines ??
No one understands the paranoid Chinese Regime, its all smoke and mirrors with them, but thats whats happening so we just have to wait.

hi guys the ag 188 are finished im doing the instructions tomorrow
please remember that we are behind a month because i changed a few things for you guys to enjoy the plane more
eg scale lights, lift of hatch, canopy redesign & a few other things, the time factor has been great if you think its only been 4 months
from the time i recived the prototype ,its dam hot over there which held up the covering of the planes by 9 days.
There are finished so were having boxs made now so you guys in the usa will get your planes before we do lol
as soon as there ready to ship which is like 2 weeks away i would say i will be intouch
you guys will love this plane count on it,the finish is outstanding
regards glen

That's good news Glen! Looking forward to receiving a shipping date for my order. Some more pics and data would be nice - wing area, airframe weight, etc.

So you imply that you haven't posted more pictures because you do not have a production model in hand?

Make sure my name is on one of them

I have seen one of there Cessna 152's so if there anything to go buy your going to be in for a real treat. My customer who has just received his 152 is absolutely stoked!!

Glen just sent me this photo of the production models, I'm sure he won't mind me posting it. He did say that the factory has slipped up and made the control surfaces without the corrugations. Apparently, they're being re-made right now and they should be ready to start shipping out sometime next week. I'm getting excited!

Now, I think this model works out to something like 1:4.5 scale, so where do I find a pilot the right size?

It's great so see a manufacturer that actually listens to it's customers and acts upon their advise to strive to acheive the very best model possible and to make one that meets the modellers needs. I think Austar is really onto something here and I wish them the very best of luck and the success that they truely deserve. With this being a sign of great models to come and seeing how they will acheive there objectives, I can't wait to support them hole heartedly and to see what they have in store for us as modellers next.
So come on fellas lets spread the good word and help them sell as many models as they can manufacture.

cheers Rossco.

bignuts...........
have no problem spreading the good word about this great looking new product. But, that will best be achieved once we get the product in our hands so we can experience first hand what we're spreading the good word about. If their product really is as good as it looks and flies in the video, the good word will spread like wildfire...it will happen naturally. Case and point? Refer to Hangar 9's 40 sized Piper Pawnee. A success from the first day. Those models don't stay on the shelf very long. My only complaint about them is the weird color scheme. Austars did their homework in that department...

Here's a pretty cool video I found on Youtube. The Cessna's come in around a minute twenty into the video. Enjoy!

I'm afraid I may have to get two, or maybe even all three color schemes. And I'll be working two or three jobs to pay for them. hahaha

Anyone got any ideas on where to get a suitable pilot figure? The scale of the model doesn't seem to slot into the scales of the readily available pilots!
