Does anyone have any idea what size servos fit this model? I'm rather assuming it'll need standard sized, high torque types.

Hi Gordon
I plan on using Hitec 645mg servo's all round except for throttle cause I will be doing some aerotowing. The 645's are excellent servo's and are value for money.
I have an 83" PT19 with a Saito 150 and I use JR537 standards on ailerons without problems.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Paul

Thanks Paul, those are on my shortlist now, will do some calculations when the model arrives, in order to see what torque is required for each surface. Have you looked at the JR 579's? They're cheaper than the S3305's and have almost the same torque, though not metal geared.

Gordon

I have lots of servo's from nano to 1/4 scale size jumbo's, of which, none are digital, (GWS Hitec & JR).
The JR 579's out here are MG here's the specs;

ES579 Ballrace servo w/metal gears 32.5x19x38.6 41 8.3kg 0.23 BB metal one $69.00 each.

Nothing wrong with JR gear but I like Hitec's great servo range and cheaper prices and have found that the HT 645MG fills the bill for high torque, low price and they are ever reliable.
Run them on 6.0v 5 cell packs, use them in all our large models (gas & glow) and never had a failure.

Really like JR radio's.... great software.
Cheers
Paul

Hi Rossco
A 3mm53 TOC is going in to start with as I have it waiting for the model to arrive.
I would really like the new 3mm 106cc twin when they are available.
Will run standard or incowl mufflers, canisters are way too expensive for my sport flying.

Cheers
Paul

Does anyone know if Austers accepts U.S. Postal money orders? My bank won't sell me an international money order...seems Australia won't accept them. I've been sending personal emails to Glen about them and he's not answering. I don't know what's going on there.
Glen, the reason I have so many questions is 1) my bank is not cooperating with me trying to send you a payment and 2) this is a hell of a lot of money (to me it is) to send overseas not knowing your payment acceptance policies. Can anyone help me out??

Thanks for the help regarding the servos chaps, I'll decide what to order when the model gets here.

Outacontrol41 - Glen is slow answering emails at times, probably because he's busy. Be patient and I'm sure he'll reply soon. Not sure why you're having problems paying - credit card is safest way to pay and they also take Paypal if you trust that. You may also send them money using this service - https://secure.tranzfers.com I've used them for overseas transfers before and they are safe and cheap. Only problem being you'll need Austars' bank details.

Hi Glen....my email is info@makuchalsigns.com. My friend Robert says that you take PayPal as payment. If you think that's best then that's what I'll do. I've used it before using my wife's credit card to buy household stuff...I doubt she'll let me use it for buying this!!! LOL Give me a few days to set up an account and I'll get things straight and get back to you. Save that Orange one for me!!!

Why dont you just pay with paypal its secure and easy, yeah I don't like them that much but using them occassionally is fine. Been using them for years.
Beats stuffing around with Banks and the post where there fees will be probably more than paypal.

Cheers
