I'm in agreement with the last two posts. A tow hook would be nice...but not worth such a long wait. let's get them into production now.

Hi Guys
I am one who wants a tow hook but I agree with you guys, lets not hold up production any further, I can fit my own as I usually do.
Glen if you want any testing/information re towhooks for future production I am happy to provide feedback to you.

KMOT- I can assure you there are many modellors who do Aerotowing in the US.

Cheers
Paul

thanks for your all comments!
the color schemes would be the orange/black (for American market), and yellow/black (prototype) for Australian market,

Monday I will post a photo for the canopy, you would be happy for the design.

Ok well way too late but here is a pic of my tow hook set up in my hanger 9 pawnee this system also works in larger scales too the tow hook I use is 4 40 rod when I tow 40% models I use 3mm piano wire for the pin.....oh and this is what I have been flying and towing for the last 3 years....40% Schweizer 40lb

BTW, forget something, the orange/black (photo2), we would put an orange stripe on the rudder (top), same as the photo 1, is that ok????

Hi Alex!

Thanks for the updates! Exciting! So you guys are going to offer the red, white and blue as well as the orange and black? Geez, I might have to get both! Guess I'll need to pick up an extra job so I can afford it! haha I like the idea of the orange stripe on the rudder. As far as the canopy goes, this looks more like a Pawnee canopy to me. I'll have to see it on the airplane. I do like the detail on it though. Can't wait for more pics and videos! Have fun at the Coota Rally!

Been watching these posts. I tried very hard for a couple of weeks to communicate with Austars, I have a local hobby shop who was VERY interesed in being a U.S. distributor, just wanted to get some numbers from Austars for importing, selling, etc.. I finally gave up.
As far as I can tell, I haven't seen anything from anyone who says this will be imported into the U.S. by anyone for any price.
Is this really legit? Frankly, I am not sure. I would love to be proven wrong for my skepticism.

Hey cjtyped, I think the guys at Austars are quite sincere about getting their planes into the US market. It's just good business. If I had a RC company, I would want my products in the Aussie market as well. I'm sure Alex and the team are working hard at finding a distributor. Hopefully we will reap the benefits from that.

Outacontrol, I'm not liking the Pawn Husky idea. I would rather the canopy match the plane. To me, the first canopy is more scale. It would be nice if Austars could beef it up a bit, but not make it look like a different airplane's canopy. That's just my 2 cents.

I too have contacted Austars about distribution in the US, and have yet to hear from them. However, setting up a distributor in the US is not near as labor intensive as research, developement and production of a new product.

Dont know how many hands are in the company to handle all aspects, maybe issues have been prioritized and they are not to this one yet.

I am STILL very interested.

Ill be patient

And now, here's my 2 cents worth. I wholeheartedly agree with you about the canopy. I'd rather have the molded canopy shown below in the original prototype than the built up Piper Pawnee version. You've actually created a Hybrid of the two planes. The molded plastic version is not as nice as the framed up version...but neither is it true scale Cessna 188 Ag Husky. If we're gonna name this thing a model of a Cessna 188 Ag Husky...then by gum let's make it look like one.
This same issue happened during the development of the RC Guys Ag wagon...read the early posts on that thread, RC Guys corrected that problem...as best they could, anyway.
