I'm ready It will seem like forever But I do not have time to get it built right now, 6 - 8 weeks ought to be on time for me. I'd like to hear engine choices for towing. I wonder if the DA-85 or 3W-70would fit? What are you going to tow with the 188?

Me? I have a 4M ASK-21 and a 5M Ventus 2CX {in work}.

We already use a 3MM53 gasser, beautiful engines, to tow 4mtr + gliders weighing up to 9.5kg no problems at all on a huge 3mtr Willie Monster (Like a Big Trainer).
Gliders we tow are: 4.5mtr Nimbus, 4mtr Discus, 3.6mtr DG600, 4mtr ASH26, 4.5mtr DG505 and fully molded 5mtr Ventus 2ca,
4 mtr ASW28, 4mtr ASG 29, 4mtr Salto.
We also tow all these gliders, except for the fully molded ones, with a 2.4 pilatus porter with a ST3250 which is a superb engine.
The 188 will have a 3MM as well and will be a great combination, I am really looking forward to getting mine.

Cheers
Paul

Hi guys was talking with Glen the other day and he was of the opinion that the new 3mm or DL 100 would make for a weapon of a package and that the DA 85 would be a very user friendly combination, but the 100 would be for towing maniacs like me.....

arrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh, the weather is still not good, rain has stopped but now cold and very windy.
Only had 2 short flys in over 3 weeks, very unusual for here.
Alex, whats the expected ETA for the Husky.
Cheers

As soon as I get mine, I'll post piccies and give a report. Due sometime in July by the website. Got a spare DA100 and an MVVS 58. I'll probably put the 58 in it (ample for the majority of tows our club will do) The way the weather is, I'll get flying before them. I'm further north in sunny Queensland.

Well I just spent some considerable time (while at work) reading through this thread, and I'm very interested. I've had the H9 Pawnee on backorder for some time (and I'm about to cancel that). I've also read the thread regarding the RCGuys ARF, not up to snuff IMO. I've been wanting to get a large scale plane for a while (my first gasser) and since I'm not really into the 3D stuff, this really got my attention (nothing like this at our field). The quality appears to be superb. I hope we can all find out soon, how we Americans will be able to get a hold of one of these. Count me in as a prospective buyer !
