Status: offline 		After a rather hard landing that snapped one of the normal struts, I'm thinking of getting the Tuf Strut instead of the stock replacement. The pictures on heli-world make the tuf strut look a little lower than the normal ones so I'm mainly concerned with tail clearance. Has anyone tried these struts on a Hawk Pro? Will the normal landing skids work?

Status: offline 		Yes they will work - they are the same landing gear system used on their hi-zoot Raven 50. They come with 4 x spacers that go between the bottom of the frames and the struts themselves. Be sure to use them.

Status: offline 		Great! Will the metal skids from the normal gear fit the tuf strut, or do I need to buy the full kit (struts & skids)?

Status: offline 		You need the full landing gear set. The landing skids on the Hawk are 8mm in diameter, those on the Tuff strut gear (Raven & Predator) are 10mm in diameter.
