hello.........i just read about the new sanyo ni-mh/alkaline hybrid battery..holds 90% of charge for 6 months...they are called "eneloop "cells .can be charged 1,000 times.......is it true good to be true?...i wonder how it applies to hobby use in tx and rx applications...it supposingly came out in 2005....i wonder why i haven't heard of them.....go to us.sanyo.com....then click on the eneloop battery............pault

Hello Pault,

They are the real thing. They work very well for lower current draw applications, but still hold over 1 volt under a 10 amp load.

The are reported to be very sensitive to over charging, so make sure you charge them properly.
