Josey Wales -> Futaba adapter (4/12/2008 11:01:22 PM)

Mike---I just got a 2.4 Futaba 7C--when Im using the adapter for the tx I have to actually turn the TX switch on to get it to work with the sim. On my 9C, when I plug the adapter in, it automatically turns on the transmitter on...My adapter is a few years old so I was wondering if something changed with the newer tx's ?

Hi Joe, you can use the same adapter with FASST 2.4 radios. The radio will automatically turn on too.

Mike--thats what Im saying--I just got a new 2.4 7C today and the adapter will only work with the main switch on, it doesn't come on without the main switch being in the on position. Unlike the 9C which switches on automatically once the adapter is plugged in.

Hi Joe, that could be the case with certain Futaba radios. If it does not come on automatically, just switch on the main switch. However in this case you might want to check if the radio is transmitting any signal with the plug in. Switch on your Rx to confirm it. Let me know.

Mike--yes its transmitting the full signal---its not a BIG deal..maybe something that I could change on the plug ?..just makes it a pain because you are using up the battery.

Hi Joe, pls don't change anything in the plug as it won't help. This is normal for radios which are not designed for automatic-on. Can you remove the module behind the radio to stop the transmission, or is there any function in the program menu that can disable the transmission?

Josey Wales -> RE: Futaba adapter (4/13/2008 2:43:48 AM)

On the 7C there is no module--Im not sure if something can be disabled in the programming--I havent read the manual all the way through--Ill take a look
