Rusty, the bell crank didn't fit the microheli tail. The "U" shaped part was wayyy too wide. No worries though man, I'm just gonna rig something up with spacers and stuff so i can fly it with the original plastic crank. I appreciate the extra effort to make it right though bro.

Ok, boys. I finally got me some flybar weights (Align HS1194) delivered today for my -003, along with a set of Align woodies (325 Pros). The Pros were perfectly balanced, pretty cool. Just got it all installed, the red and white looks awesome on my bird,so we'll see what happens tomorrow when I fly her. Later this week I have some $9 CopterX wood blades coming, along with some HDX 450 white tail blades, so we'll see how they all fare. I'm just trying to get some wood blades that work so that when I crash this thing, maybe all the metal parts won't turn into a Slinky. Needed those weights to help tone down my bird's response, it's lightning quick in stock form. Probably going to be the best $2 I've ever spent.

And I also finally got me some adapters so that I can charge those two Desire packs that I got from Harbin using my Shark and E-flite (Align tap) chargers, so now I've got three batteries ready to rock. If anyone is ever looking for balance connector adapters, I got them from www.rclipos.com. They've got all combos you could imagine (mine was a polyquest battery to align charger), and they were great to do business with, they mailed them within an hour of me doing an online order.

And I also got audited by the wife today, it wasn't pretty. "Honey, are these paypal charges against our checking account legit? And while we're at it, how much have we spent on helicopters lately, are you even keeping track...."

Thanks, heli46, I've got the -003 manual, I thought you had it too or I would have sent it to you. It does have some errors in it, but overall it's ok. I wish we could post stuff like that here, but we can't, I think you can only post pictures. If anyone else wants to see the manual, I can send it to you. Hopefully the seller will post the manuals to his website soon.

Got my CopterX woodies today, along with the Align K10289A Blade Balancer, and HDX tail blades (made by Sonix). I don't know if the tail blades are going to work, the roots are not as thick as the stock ones, so there's a little gap between the tail blades and their grips. We'll see...

The blade balancer is cool, for $5, totally worth it. Simple to use.

hahahaa, that part about being "audited" is awesome.... the EXACT same thing just happened to me on wednesday! she says i spent about 1800.00 on the CC (paypal)..... i told her "holy smokes, good thing i just got to place a couple more orders and im good for a while -)" that went over well -(

she doesnt have a clue how much went to the LHS in the form of cash though....-), and then theres the M.O. for the BlackHawk 500 SE Pro..... heheheheheee..... the list goes on....

... And welcome to our neck of the trailer park, UFC. Thanks for stopping by. And thanks for the compliment on my -003, she is purdy, if I do say so meself! And yeah, I'd already be on Divorce Court TV if I'd spent $1800, my audit was sparked by two paypals totalling $60. I'm just a pants-less, castrated shell of a man... But at least she lets me live in the house I'm paying for!

Ok, so just flew both sets of woodies (just tooling around) with the flybar weights. Both sets fly great, no real difference, if anything I like the CopterX set a little better, don't have any real reason, but maybe they sound quieter, I don't know, and for 30% cheaper ($9.99 versus $12.99), they get the job done. The flybar weights rock! I know, they come stock on Sharks and most other helis, so I'm just playing catch-up, but man, it toned mine down perfectly. I also lowered my swash mix on my DX7 down to 50% across the board instead of the 65% like it was, trying to just reduce total throw of the 3 swash servos. Bottom line, I'm able to put it exactly where I want it, and it stays there. Goosing the cyclic gets it to move on out, so it will move if I tell it to, but I like what I see now. I was able to fly it around in my garage at the end wherever I wanted. Cool. Mission accomplished.
