Here's my new addition, the Align K10263T case. Fits fine. Head button and tail case is snug, but the whole thing definitely works exactly as needed.

Same one I carry my birds in. I have a new vendor that does cases and their aluminum is $40 and the carbon fiber is $50, we will see how they work when they get here.

Hank sent me a long email the other day, they have revamped the 006 and he claims his parts issues are now resolved and wants me to give him an order. I am thinking it is time to take him up on it so we will see, my art tech vendor has been really coming through and I think I will continue with him on the 006 and shark stuff but I am still of the opinion if you are going to replace it use the best (microheli) where you can.

man, i need one of those cases.....

actually, i have a coiple bows that i hunt/target shoot with, and i was batting around the idea of getting a large bow case, i saw some in cabella's, i could fit my shark450 and falcon 3d/batts/TX and some blades in it. it would be perfect for taking along camping and such. 2 heli's in one case!

if i can find one big enough, ill put my BH500 and Shark 450 in it at the same time.

A hard golf case works great as long as that's not too big to fit in your car or to carry around for ya. It's been working great for me and you can pick them up for next to nothin at yard sales or even for free if you run into a cool enough person. I put the CX2, king2, shark 450 and the H550 in one of those cases, including the batteries, tx, tools and a few parts.., close the lid and go. Here are some pics of it on this page: http://www.rchelicoptertown.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1515&page=7

I heard a chevy suburban works well and with gas the way it is they are going really cheap, they are just really tough to get in the trunk of a car and you can't put them in the overhead storage on a plane but they will hold like 50 helis, lol. Maybe they need to come up with a pocket heli like the pocket fisherman, that would be cool. Xap, you're a trader, what kinda buzz you think that would create on the market huh?

The bottom right is the one I have ordered in, it is actually designed to hold up to a 500 class

The hard golf case is about the perfect length, but it's not tall enough.. but i'll fix that. It does fit in my Z if i fold the back seat down heheh..
No worries here about ever taking the helis on a planes overhead compartment in todays day and age.. heck, with people so paranoid anymore, they would probably confiscate the helis saying they were terrorist tools or somethin lol.
I am surprised that there aren't a slew of budget priced multi-heli carryin' hard cases available. There sure is a great market for stuff like that. Most of the hard cases I've seen fit up to a 500 heli, tx and then not much else. There are some great military grade cases out there, but they are way too big/heavy and very expensive. I guess this winter it will be time to build a custom case. Not as big as a suburban man, but it doesn't have to be pretty.. just big enough for one tx, some batteries, two 550's side by side facing opposing directions and a 450 and 300 up top. Yup.. that would make me happy

Rusty, when you can - would you send that pic. of the cases to me via email. I can blow up the post a little, but not big enough. Copy/paste and blow it up - just blurrs the picture out. I will be ordering a case for my Shark, 3 batteries, and Dx6i this weekend.

Hey, UFC, I just tried going to the website listed in the pic (www.rc-capsule.com), and it definitely cleaned the images up a lot... Good lookin' cases!

Thought I'd share my "orientation system". Finished it last night, flew it today for first time, and it worked great. I'd been having some issues when the heli was side-in with sensing which way it was leaning, as well as some other hard-to-describe issues in like 45 degree angle situations. Anyway, wanted to adopt some sort of color-coding, like what Xodarap1 did on his Shark with a yellow zip-tie way back when. The red skid is simply a drinking straw that my kids brought home from a restaurant Saturday night. Had to slit the middle section to get it on, but the ends were mostly press-fit in. The yellow skid is from the margins of an extra garage door warning label that I found. Had to use a lot of little pieces and a lot of Scotch tape, but it works! I really saw a benefit when slow flying side-in when the heli was a long ways away. The contrast is great. Was debating using green on the right, to mimic the same colors as real aircraft navigation/position lights, but went with yellow for the visibility. Me likie.

Hey man, if you like night flying or even in the day, I have some killer little led strobes in red and blue. I run the blue in the rear and the red up front so I know if I am seeing red to be cautious, lol. Okay, they look very cool too.

Xap - I wonder if an airline caddy would work, like the skycaps use. It has built in fold out wheels to assist with the weight and are desinged to fit in as small a compartment as possible. I was looking at the skycaps at the charter service after you mentioned big cases and it would probably hold four if you were imaginative. I will find out where they get them and what they cost and maybe do some experimenting.

As for the trex se V2 tail shaft working, no it really doesn't. It has some extending plastic on the tail side, which makes it a tad too wide to fit right inside of the tailcase. It fits, but the screws shut about 1 to 2 mm short of closing on the shaft. I suppose if you were to dremel off the extending plastic, (which acts like a bearing), you can use the 2 metal bearing pieces from the stock in its place. I just figured why bother. Replaced the entire tailcase. I am going to get rid of the stock tailcase this weekend, for the HDX V2 - from with what I've been hearing, it is much better that the Trex and Stock Art-tech. I have found that the stock pitch sliders like to bind, unless I keep it greased up well. PeAce. Ufc...
