Hi,

I would like my throttle response ro be more sensitive "finer" or the other way around, please advise? (see explanation in last sentence)

What would be the best to do:

1: Lessen the tension on my radio's throttle stick?

2: Can i use the throttle trim for spoolup on my heli?

3. Step trim, how can that be used or if it can be used

4: Is there anything else i can try? maybe program the radio in a certain way?

The reason for wanting this is, my electronic speedcontrol on my t-rex 600 Feigao 80 amp,
is very sensitive, i sometimes miss that point of just getting it right for a soft startup,
The controller gives a perfect startup, but it is not easy to hit that 2nd curve just right when enhancing the throttle.

Will i be able to lessen the tension even more the deafault tension is currently configured, never ever changed it.

please help.

First things first...before you connect your power source in your heli, make sure your throttle trim tab is all the way down.

To change the tension on your throttle stick, take off the back cover of your radio and adjust the tension screws for the left gimbal. Pay attention because one affects the rudder movement and the other is the throttle. You can also adjust the friction on the throttle by tightening the metal strip.

Happy Landings!

Hey Heli1-2,

I do not profess to be an expert so take the following in that light, but...

I do not know which JR radio you have, but in the manual for the X9303 2.4, on page H-23, it explains the Throttle-Curve feature, which to me, in my mind, would go a great distance in "rounding-out" your throttle response, hence that spot you hit when it "flys-out-and-up".

Again, I am a newbie, but that is what I am trying to learn, how to use these capabilities to ease the process of learning how to fly w/o any major err (if that is possible in my early stage of learning, lol).

Please help me understand, if I am off base because it seems like the perfect solution, unless your radio does not have the feature?

Btw, I do not have a radio yet, and am planning on buying either the Futaba 10C (pretty sure) or the JR X9303, so again, excuse my ignorance if my "solution" is incorrect.

Thanks.

- Don
