fmimages -> O'Donnel oil content question (4/14/2008 7:37:01 AM)

I'm in a quandry about oil content and such. All the local hobby shops cater to the car, airplane and helicopter crowd. I have an old 7.5cc K&B tunnel hull boat. I selected O'Donnel 40% CAR nitro fuel as my best choice and then got a bottle of Castor oil as per the fuel thread discussion. I can't find any reliable information about oil content for O'Donnel except from the Tower web site and I think it says oil content is 18% if I'm not mistaken. If that is right then I don't need to add the Castor oil.

Is the oil in the fuel synthetic, or a blend? For safety''s sake I would add a bit of castor anyway.

The specifications on the bottle say the "special O''Connel lube". If I read right from the Tower site it says that 40% Nitro contains 18% oil. So my CAR fuel is also correct for BOAT fuel. I''m just trying to be sure before I use it as I also bought a bottle of Castor oil and probably don''t need it.
