I have had AFPD installed for several years. I recently purchased Addon #3 and installed it. The first problem I encountered was that I could not Activate the Addon. One of the sections of the Product Key, printed on the CD, had what appeared to be O''s. After an hour of frustration and experimentation, I was finally able to Activate the Addon, on the Web, using D''s

My next problem was with the Main Menu. The entire screen appeared as a Blue Woven Cloth. No text was visible, but I could see the aircraft rotating on the screen. It looked like an uncovered, framed up model. As I passed my cursor over the spot where the Menu was, text popped up on the Right side, indicating what the Menu choice was. When I chose Options, I could not make any changes. When I chose Fly, the Flying Field, Runway, Sky, Trees, and Grass looked normal, but the model looked like a Red and Blue, uncovered, framed up plane.

I sent a number of emails to Ikarus-USA and called Hobby Lobby several times. There were No answers to my emails and although Hobby Lobby answered the phone, no one ever called me back, as promised. I came across this forum, by Accident.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the program, without success.

I have a P4, 3Ghz, 2Gb RAM, with an Nvidia Geforce 6200 OC 256Mb graphics card and Gigabytes of HD space. Real Flight G4 runs fine, as does everything else. I had the latest Nvidia Drivers 169.21. On a tip from a friend, I tried rolling back the video drivers to 94.24 and now the program looks and runs normally. Because I only have PCI slots, I cannot upgrade to newer Nvidia cards.

Am I stuck with these Older version video drivers or are there changes I can make to AFPD to allow me to use the newer drivers?

Could someone post a link to this forum, on the Aerofly site, so others can get timely support for AFPD? I was about to sell it and be satisfied with G4.

Hi BuschBarber, for addons 3 and 4, the nvidia 6200 may be too slow. Pls take a look at the recommended cards here http://www.aerofly.com/www/requirements.html

I would gladly upgrade my video card, but my 3Ghz P4 only has PCI slots (no PCIe or AGP). Can you recommend any video cards that come in the PCI format?

Hi Busch, you could try browsing through the nvidia website for more information. Alternatively, you could go on using your present card although its not ideal. Check that your video card acceleration is at full, and you could disable some AFPD graphics features like soft shadow, smoke, etc to bring up the frame rate.
