Hi, being new to plane specially this F3A thing I need your advise.

Plane - Leo F3A 110 http://www.raidentech.com/leof3a11068n.html
Engine - TT PRO-120R (9196) 2 stroke http://www.thundertiger.com/product/9196.html
Servos - HS5645MG for rudder & elevator, HS475HB for aileron & HS325HB for throttle.
Prop - APC 14 x 10

Do I really need to use
1. Perry pump. If yes which one is suitable http://www.advantagehobby.com/product.php?productid=23508&cat=0&page=1 or http://www.advantagehobby.com/product.php?productid=46911&cat=0&page=1
2. Tune pipe. If yes kindly provide me links for the tune pipe & header that suits the engine and the plane.

Do let me know if I should need other things aswell and thank you all in advance.

This appears to be a nice setup for your precision flying. I have very good luck with JR 4131 servos for your ailerons. OR use 811, or 8411 alternatively.

Best of luck with your Leo aircraft. Tuned pipe is advisable on most aircraft if you fly F3A since the noise limit is 94 db. Go to CENTRAL HOBBIES . com for perfect match on the pipe setup. SHould be similar to 120 size 2 stroke motors.

Thanks for the reply Don.

As for the servos I have to settle with what I have for now, will get JR's servo as you mentioned later. Really appreciate if you could advise me on the perry pump, should I get one and which one suits better as I'm confused among those two.

Thank you again.

I've never used a perry pump. Would suggest posting to the NSRCA message board, since I believe several have used them on 2 cycle engines. You can sign up at www.nsrca.us

Good luck,

Don

yns: You will need the Perry VP30 regulating pump http://www.perrypumps.com/prod02.htm. I have been using one on a OS91FX for the last four years. You will need to tap your engine back plate for the pressure line but that is quite a straight forward chore. Bob Pastorello has some good tips at http://www.rcaerobats.net/OS160_Setup.htm. I also use JR4131s coreless servos on 6 volts. Great set up.
Sounds like a nice project - Good luck.

Thanks Rodney. Actully I'm a bit confused about this perry pump, some says its ok without the pump with my TT 120-RP engine and some says you need the pump. Anyway I've purchase all the necessary things including Perry VP30 just incase I should need it. Appreciate on the link(Bob Pastorello tips) given, really need it, Thanks.

Now waiting for all of the parts to arrive.
