I would think that horizon would save money on shipping if they did the up grade prior to sending them. oh well, at least they are taking care of us.

I bought the JR X9303 system and extra AR9000 and AR6200 receivers on 04/28. All documents sent to the promotion address on 05/06 so I should get another two 2.4GHz RXs by the end of the month. My son already has an AR6100 so THREE 9 ch and two full range 6 ch RXs on top of that...

Holy smokes! I never even owned five 72MHz receivers before...

Glad to hear you had good luck with your free receivers. I, on the otherhand just got the big green weenie from Horizon. I bought a new 9303 2.4 with receiver and another 9100, at Perry, sent them receipts, upc barcodes, form etc & got a letter back saying they could not send me a freebee 'cause they couldn't confirm I purchased another receiver. I told their customer guy everything was stapled together & he would check into it for me. He called me back with the same story. No dice, he's "just the messenger". So I sent Horizon a nastygram telling them I hope their program was going OK 'cause they just lost a loyal customer for JR & SAITO. I'm so P%4$#@3 off I may take my stuff to Joe Nall, smash it, & give it to their reps! I hear Tower, Futaba & OS are always looking for customers.

Fly slow, crash slower!

The person at Perry that sold you the radio had to be a authorized JR dealer to get the rebate. The dealers and the bar codes are tied together. If that person was a re-seller and not authorized by JR no rebate. You arn't the only one that got stuck. Dennis

When I first saw the deal, I found the lowest on-line price and (knowing that many on-line retailers part out complete systems) asked if the products were shipped in all original packaging and qualified for the giveaway offer. When they told me that they were not an authorized distributer, I took the online quote to my LHS and they matched the price and insured it all had the qualifying paperwork.

The dealer that sold me the radio & receiver is a JR dealer. Big one in the southeast/GA.

I had the same thing happen to one of my customers. I made a phone call for him to Horizon. As a dealer they took my word on the sale and he got the freebe. You might try that route thru the dealer in GA. They had very strict rules on the rebate to hold down fraud and this could catch the honest person. But in all fairness to them you didn't get screwed out of anything. You got what you paid for, you just didn't get something for free. Dennis

True, maybe. But There are a lot of folks with free receivers who did the same thing I did. What burns me is the reason I went to 2.4 was the free offer. Seems like whoever is in charge of the program doesn't have it together too well.

Greybeard,

If your hobby shop is an authorized dealer he can straighten it out for you. If it is a receipt issue or a barcode problem surely the selling dealer can make an effort to hande it.

Regards, Bill
