ORIGINAL: mark IX Hi, everyone, I just bought a new OS BGX-1 and I read in the instructions that it requires a fuel with at least a 20% oil content. First of all, how critical is this?[8|] How do you tell what the oil content is if it is not on the label? Where do you buy the 20% fuels? What brands are they? Sorry for all the questions, but I have several other OS engines which I have run Omega or Red Max fuels in with out any problems. Most of the fuel I have seen at my LHS have 18% oil content. I generally use 10 or 15 % nitro content as well. Any help would be great, I dont want to break this engine on the wrong fuel from the get go.[:o] Thanx, Mark You should be just fine running what is available locally in your store. If the manual recommends 20%, then the 18% available would be just fine. The last time I ran a BGX, I remember it liking lower nitro fuels better than higher ones. 10% is more than enough for that engine.
