That is strange SR...I have the round one on my 9257 and it has worked good for me...but I don't fly as hard as you do probably

Well...I finally did it...tried to go inverted this morning...I went out to fly a pack before work...I was doing my usual routine, flips front & back, rolls, working on my circles etc...
I was relaxed and calm and decided it was time to go inverted...I flipped her over and did not add enough head speed and so she started dropping like a rock...ROFL! It was coming down too fast and I tried to flip her over and I got her most of the way but the ground jumped up and smacked my Rex...I did not have time to do a full inspection...but on the walk back to the house it looks like I got very, very lucky! I scratched up my Align CF blades pretty bad (Bushes and scrub brush) but it looks like most everything else is straight...so when I get home from work tonight I will break it down and see if all is well with my heli...
So it is over with...my first crash in about 40 flights. I guess I am not pushing the envelope enough!

3 pacs 450 all normal flying, 3rd pac got home and hit it hard and agressive and thats how it wrecked 100 flat idle up and into the dirt agressive lol.

broke cf blades, flybar, main and feathering shaft, tail shaft and center hub and tail pitch linkage, main gear. thats without inspecting just picking up pieces everywhere lol

3 hours ltr its back in the air, tail shaft was fine the rest was "as described" not so bad after all canopy was toasted but it was a 15 dollar one and i had a replacement on hand. i have to keep fingers crossed the V2 head isnt bent i wont know that till i spool up in the morning.

I found I did bend the flybar and lost one of the tail supports...so I straightened it by hand pretty close and spooled it up...looks like everything else is ok...whew...there is a slight vibration from the bent flybar and that is it!

edwin just pull the flybar out and hammer it flat on a piece of wood then throw it back in. i can never bend them that close by eye when there on the heli

I just went and bought another SR....I needed the tail boom support any way...I could not find the one I lost...searched a 25' radius to the crash site and did not find it...so I am not sure where the heck it went. I should be back up and flying here shortly.

Cranked up the 500 this evening for two packs. Wind was brisk at 15 gusting 20+. Kept it pretty low but had a blast ripping it on down wind passes making sudden stops over the landing pad. Tried some backward flight, and of course a few hovers that I play with every flight. I am wondering if I will ever stop trying to turn sideways with my body on sideways hovers. LOL Did some 3/4 nose in stuff but to small of testicles to nose in just yet in a hover. I can do about anything flying ff and fff at myself (nose in), stall turns, circles, etc. as long as it MOVING. But hover freaks me out. I am guessing it from flying planes that gives me that relaxed feeling while its moving.

I got one pack in on the TRex this evening....Nice to have it back up and flying. 17mph wind with gusts up to 20 mph kept me from doing much but it flew well in it.

This morning I worked on my Black Hawk 450....I got the tracking right on and when I went into idle up and started with flips, the tracking went out....so I went over everything again set the tracking and when I went into idle up and did a roll...the tracking went out again. I am not sure why and I have not been able to diagnose the problem yet...but I will keep working on it.

Got up this morning and the wind was dead calm. Plugged in the charger and hopped in the hot tub with mama and watched the sunrise. Put a pack in the 500 and really felt connected to it. Just drove it like I stole it, just having fun tall stall turns and backwards flight and a big loop. Relaxed a bit and went up for a second pack. The wind had started, gusty, and I was not feeling it so I just played around with it. Getting 8 minutes from my 6s 3300 packs, I am thrilled. I think, LOL I have finally decided which 600 I want. The 600e if my nerve holds will be on order today after I sort out a few upgrades.

Got the 500 back out late afternoon for three packs. Wind was less than 10. Moved the timer up to 8:30 minutes with no problems. Charging now will see how much goes back. Again just flying it around in circles, eights, playing with piro's, and some just ripping it around getting more stick time in idle up. The packs took 2350 ma back so I will try 9 minutes next time.

Flew a pack on the TRex this morning...I put it in the dirt. Did not pull out of a hard bank turn correctly and bent the main shaft, flybar, boom strike and a little damage to the main gear. Repaired it a flew out another pack without incident.

I tore my Black Hawk rotor head apart again and rebuilt it completely. Not sure what did it but the tracking problem was gone...so I went a little wild with it. Flips, rolls, then I went for a double back flip....a nice gust of wind, loss of orientation and I put it into a neighbors chain link fence at a very high speed....I don't think it will ever fly again.
Here are the pics of the damage... Black Hawk Damamge Pics

Srouthouse I thought I had really whacked my 450 until I saw your picture. Kaelan nice Hurricane, really nice.

I got the new rudder servo when I came home this afternoon. Major lightning and rain kept me from the shop until early evening. Put the servo in, checked it over then spooled it up. Made a turn to correct tracking then took off for a test and tune pack. These little heli amaze me at how tough they really are. Back when I flew planks any major crash and that bird was never the same. This little
Trex has taken a beating for sure. After it went it inverted in idle up I almost just put it in a box. The realit y is including a fifty dollar servo its back in action and flying better than ever for under a hundred bucks and I replaced a ton of stuff. Four packs later and its back doing nice stall turns and pretty 100' circles 3' off the deck. Its nice to have two birds back in action.

flew 3 packs today. on the very first pack i was practice once again on my flips. i decidely to take it a step farther and do some rolls. next thing you know my heli is on the ground. broken flybar, boom, striped main gear, blades, tail rotor. i had all the parts except for the flybar and tail rotor. went to the LHS picked up some trex metal blade grips and flybar, new pair of blades. took me 1 hour to put it back. gonna lay off the 3d for now. it is flying very well once again.

After Sundays mild crash of the TRex and the horrendous crash with my Black Hawk....I took it easy today....went back to basics...I flew a pack in the morning before work and 4 packs this evening....worked on my orientation in FF and hovering again. Still a little jittery...but I had some clean flying today with out costing me any money other than electricity for charging my batteries.

you guys starting flips and rolls. it took me 3 months of a wrecking stage to get through it. there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

now i only dump it trying to do cosecutive rolls and loops mixed in.

1 pac today with the 450 to show off in front of relitives
