Paul_K -> Electric motor weights (4/16/2008 9:15:11 AM)
It seems to me that the stated weights as seen on the various webshops is the weight of the bare motor without necessary hardware for mounting and propeller adapters. For example my Dualsky XM6360CA-11T is given as 618g by dealers, but when the backmount and propeller adapter is mounted the weight is 655g.
I''m particularly interested in the usable weight of the AXI 5330/F3A. The manufacturers stated weight is 652g. What is the weight with the backmount and the propeller adapter?
These weights would be of interest for all the motors commonly used in F3A like the Plettenberg, Cyclone and of course the Hackers. Anyone care to join in?

Here''s my AXi F3A, with a Dualsky back "X" mount(and the brass Dualsky collet-the Axi collet is too big), and the optional (smaller,8mm) prop adapter.

The Plett 30-10 Evo is about 585 grams with the prop adapter. No extra mounting hardware is required since its built into the motor.

Also, there was this post some time ago. Not sure how current all the weights are, the Pletty Evo changed since that picture was taken. The weight I gave above is of a brand new motor that I got only a couple of months ago.
