Hi, I would cut a new tab the same size as the other. Then drill two or three toothpick size holes in the bottom of the tab for toothpick dowels extending out about 1/4 to 1/3 inch from the bottom of the new tab. This would be the male end and serve as a "plug". Then drill two or three corrosponding toothpick holes in the canopy hatch to receive the toothpick dowels that have been epoxied into the holes you've drilled in the tab. The hatch holes you drilled will be the female part of the assembly. Then glue the tab and the affixed toothpick dowels into the "female" holes in the hatch. You now have a newly "interlocking tab assembly". ( Just use the fat middle part of standard round toothpicks and find a bit that is the size of the toothpick) I hope this makes sense..[;)]
