Yes I understand. We have had some production issues at the factory and getting things worked out. Good news is they tell us they are complete with the build and awaiting hardware. We have decided to wait on shipping and send these along with the RazorYaks and 80" Edge Profiles all in one container. Looking at late May from today's news.

Man that really sucks was looking for it to be earlier. It is almost flying season here now and I need a plane to start training on to get ready for the competition thats up and coming. I might have to go elsewhere to find a plane that I can be use to by the competition.

When they do arrive, will the shipment be large enough to cover the backorder list?

Edge 540 V3

Thanks

Hey Salmon,
Finally got around to maidening my 540. WHAT A GREAT PLANE! I've recently been flying fassst deltas, and decided to slow things down a bit. Well, thie Edge was just the ticket. I have other 3D planes in my hanger but was interested in "no brainer" flying. The Edge satisfied this. I even used it as a platform to train 2 firstime flyers today (set expo high). Great design and kit.

Thanks ProBro,
Stub

Sorry blitzz, this was not meant to tease you. I KNOW what it's like to have to wait for a plane...

Thoughts on an engine for OMP 47 edge? Just picked one up (Kit built) and have a choice on engines. OS 70fs, Rossi 45 (also have tuned pipe for rossi).
Ant help would be appreciated. Oh yeah I fly at 5000 ft.

Have not run either of those but I would think they would both work. Might try that Rossi as long as it will work for 3D. I know many Rossi engines were designed for full out throttle and may not work well in 3D applications. But again I'm no Rossi expert.

3dak - if you have the newer Rossi 45 3D engine, you are fine. If it is the standard 45 it may not be the right engine for your 3D needs. The standard motors have too short of a stroke to throw the larger diameter props needed for effective 3D, and the ones that I have tried also couldn't keep up with the higher G 3D manuevers like blenders, walls, etc.

I've had a Rossi 53 and a Rossi 45. Both are good on lower Nitro. About 10% is the max, and 5% would likely be better.

#1 Low Nitro.
#2 12x4 to 13x4 inch prop. XOAR 12x4 would likely RIP IT!!!
#3 Short pipe (black tuned muffler), not full length tuned pipe and not a bolt together Rossi muffler.
#4 Tighten the head bolts every now and again. Trust me...
