Probably a silly question but, I have two 1400mah RX batteries, one Sanyo the other Radio Shack, can I hook them up with a Y harness and charge them as one? I am using the Accu Cycle Plus.

Thank you for any help.

Ni-Cd/Ni-MH should not be charged in parallel!

In order to charge 2 packs from 1 charger, both packs must be the same capacity, and hooked up in series, not parallel (same thing as one large pack).

Sling - How many cells in each pack? What's the capacity of each?

During use, packs can be connected in parallel to increase capacity, but they should never be charged in parallel, or one pack may take most of the charge current, and the other pack ends up being under-charged. When connected in series, the current travels through both packs equally, allowing both packs to achieve full charge.

Don't forget, the Accucycle is only designed for 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8-cell packs. When multiple packs are connected in series, the number of cells are added together, the capacity is not.

Thank you for your help. Got the information I wanted. My packs are 2 - 1400mah 6 cell, just thought if I could charge them both at the same it would save me time.
