slawhammer -> MCR 960 Question (4/17/2008 4:15:46 PM)

Ok..Some how my question got deleted...
I charge AA'S in a 4 cell holder..Just hit start button and charger does the rest..
A friend said use your transmiter tray to due 8 AA'S just hook up the clip and charge@1amp..I do not know how too figure mill amps
But would like too know...My friend recomended these settings...Glow Igniter @.5 amp 4 AA'S @1amp Hump pac @2 Amps...
I would like too due all 8 AA's for the transmiter at once..
I would like any suggestions on this..Thank You Roger

Hmm, so did my response. [X(]

Anyways, the 960 won't care if there's 4 cell or 8 cells. 1 amp is what I'd consider max rate for small AA radio batts.

To figure milliamp multiply amps by 1000.

Thank You...Would it be better to charge by mill amps..slow long charge..
Guver.. No I did not get a responce from you till now in forum..

PS ..Just woundering do you have to discharge these nicad's to zero before recharging?
My friend you should ..some thing about 1/2 charge issue.

Thanks again
Roger

guver -> RE: MCR 960 Question (4/17/2008 4:51:17 PM)

Yes, it is better for the batteries. It just takes longer and it is unessecary to discharge. SINCe you have a peak charger then just charge them up from whatever level they are. (the 960 works well as a fast charger, and may time out on a slow charge)
