Hi.
I have finally decided to go for the nitro T600 over the electric. hope to get it at the weekend.
Align Trex 600 Nitro Pro. Combo Version Kit
I've never built a heli from scratch so any tips would be great. Is it realitivly easy to build / follow manual?
Although I am going for nitro I was hoping to use my DX6i TX or should I forget the cost and buy a 7channel TX.

If I bought 7channel receivers could I still use my DX6i and then at a later date just buy the TX ?

Could someone please list how they have their TX set up at as I dont have a clue what these setting should be.
Thank you so much for your help and advice.

the manual recommends a 7 channel tx, i think i am using all the channels on my rx im using a gov though and using dx7 ar7000 rx. i dont think you can use a dx6 with ar7000 rx.

They aren't that hard to build but the manual is more mechanical drawings and notes than a manual (sadly the same state for many kits these days)

The 6i is DSM 2 so it will work with a AR7000 but if you want to add a governor at some point you're going to need a DX7

I can't really remember any problems while building it other than installing the governor sensor. Just make sure you have a sheet of glass handy where you can square up the frames and bearing blocks and keep it square while you slowly tighten all the bolts. I'd also go ahead and get the gyro mounting plate and the Align servo wheels for the servos you plan on using straight away. The gyro plate gives you a convienient place to mount the gyro and comes with a frame stiffener. The servo wheels make perfect ccpm setup a LOT EASIER

We can walk you through the build though.

The Torque Tube is the difference.

I managed to build my first two kits pretty easy with the help of the Finless Bob vids. I you may want to check those out.

I have also just ordered a T-rex Nitro Pro combo kit for a bargain!!
I'm planning on using my Hitec Optic 6 from my T-rex 450(ish), so no gouvernor for me for a while.

I'm concerned that the torque tube in the Nitro-pro is a bit delicate, but me.. not so much.
Does anyone know what the minimum number of parts would be to convert to belt drive to begin with? It look slike most of the parts are the same, but I'm not sure which. Any help would be great.
