Vibration mounts from muffin pan.

I bought this at a kitchen gadgets store. They cost about $5 for two pans. They are very flexible and good to 450 degrees.

What I think will work is to cut out one muffin cup with the bordering silicone edge and mount this cup within a light plywood frame and cut a 1 inch round hole in the bottom of the cup to pass the exhaust pipe through it

High Temperature Copper Silicone. Does it make sense to use this to seal the aluminum tube going into and out of the can? It’s a tight fit anyway, would the exhaust just blow it out?

The HT Copper is what I use to make the center plug. The Silicone hose and clamps should seal the ends to the pipe without needing a sealant. But a small dab would lock it in tighter. It will not blow out after it cures.

The Coleman Rambler stool had a little surprise for me.

I was surprised to find that the Coleman stool has an inner steel tube in all 4 legs. The tube is 6” long and reinforces the aluminum legs where they are riveted together. This caused me to modify the way the exhaust goes into the can.

Instead of a bunch of 1/16th holes on both sides of the silicone plug my aluminum tube will have a big cut out in front of the plug, 1” long x ¾” wide and then a bunch of 1/16th holes exiting behind the plug. This gives me an open exhaust going into the can and the same exhaust going out as in your picture. I would think this would have no effect on the function.

Ha! Ya never know. You might stumble on another 200 rpm. To keep the tuning length short I'd think you will want the holes to start close to the neck for the 115.

Nice lots and lots of work Tony. Putting 1/2" stingers on is very easy too in case you run out of things to do And get a 90* snorkel from AI so you can wrap some foam over the intake. These older 115's will become very rare and sought after once everyone has the reedblock fixes. You will not believe how it will run till you get it flying. Nothing compares. So take very good care of it.

I just stumbled across an alternate source for the aluminum bottles. Our local WalMart is selling Mountain Dew in the aluminum bottles now! I bought a couple to use because I don't drink beer .

I get mine from Napa Auto parts. It's 1" ID silicone heater hose. Check your phone book for a store like this in your area.
http://www.deltarubber.com/ They carry it in a large amount of sizes and stiffnesses. The Napa stuff is the stiffest with 3 plys. There are single ply's that are very soft and flexible.

Nope. We are talking 50cc engines here, not 0.50in^3 engines. Your OS is just under 9cc, less than 1/5 of the ones above. If you need a muffler for your OS Mac's Products, Jett Engineering, Ultra Thrust and others make ones that work. You can also Google "mousse can pipe" and find lots of info here on RCU and the net in general for home made pipes.
