Status: online 		I completely drained a 12v lead acid battery about a month ago, and forgot about it, letting it sit a long time drained. Now it's reading 7.9-8v on a digital multi charger, when I try to charge it at 800mA or really anything, it just kinda sites there at around 8.3v and the charger only wants to put 0.15A of current in to it, I stopped it for fear of it blowing up, is it toast or recoverable?

It's not very old, but it was a cheap generic one. Cheap or not they are pretty much all the same that I know of, cheap mean it's life span isn't going to be that good?

Status: offline 		It has sulfated, probably beyond recovery. The problem is that when you try to charge it at all the voltage goes up very high so the charger cannot drive much current into it.

Status: online 		I think I brought it back to life. I had a 500mah wall charger brick for it in a drawer, so I plugged it up outside for an hour, now it's reading right on the LN-5014, I'll see how it goes.

Status: offline 		Their have been experiments on removing sulfates google an check them out, since it's new it's a very good canadate for experimentation. Most ideas are pulse overdrive to get the plates clean so you can get the current discharge back up. Good luck let us know.
