Status: offline 		Since I also broke my controler the last time out I'm looking to upgrade my controler and receiver. I'm looking for something with a larger range from the stock GST radio and was hopeing to get way from crystals. Any ideas would be great, the more to choose from the better. Well I'm off to start the search, thanks for any help. Also I like the pistal grip style but will settle for the box kind as long as it's worth it.

Status: offline 		For once I found something at my LHS that's the same price as online. Unless someone can find something better for the price, I'm going with a Futaba 3 pm 3 ch 2.4 GHz for $189.99. If anyone has one and came across a problem with it, please let me know, thanks.

Status: offline 		Poo. I read about that radio..It is a good choice..simular to specrtum DX3 You will be better away from crystals and no interference...
2.4 ghz works great..I use it and so does my step son..We can run the same time with no problems..We even start up the trucks next to each other..
I run The GST he just got the Nemesis couple weeks old now..His is almost broke in..We did some up grades on his nemesis..
SO for that kind of money I would go with that radio from local hobby shop...HELL hobby shop here is never open...No CEN stuff unless you special order it..
And NO PARTS for Cen here..Have to use cen direct or on-line for parts.....CEN has been good about support with parts and customer relations..No complaint there...

Status: offline 		I haven't found any shops near me that have cen stuff. They did order a GST when I asked how much they wanted for one but told them I'm not paying $580, some one did. I don't mind waiting for parts, still sucks but I can live with it for a killer truck. I've found better prices, even with shipping, than what hobby shops have told me.

Status: offline 		Hey Poo..I forgot to ask does that radio system have a receiver with it along with the transmmiter?If you get both than it is a good deal..other wise you will have to
spend another $80 for receiver...

Status: offline 		It comes with both. I'm just lucky my Dad said he would buy it for me, would of taken me awhile other wise. I think it's the best price for what I want, it's crazy for what they want for anything else.

or keep it on the level,so you get some run time in and not breaking stuff....Yes I know we all break stuff...But also fun too run and not break stuff also..Yes I also know most of us have
a heavy trigger finger and want to go fast with this big power house of a truck..(GST or NEMESIS) Have fun and enjoy...Just my 2 cents worth today

Status: offline 		slawhammer the best part is I was only in second gear . Once I get up and running again I'm going to wait untill it's muddy before I try and kill the truck again. The normal spot I jump at goes from about 2 feet high to 3 feet, great spot to get air just have to make sure no one is running down the foot path and no cars are comeing into the parking lot, my goal is to land in the parking lot. I haven't come close to a full speed run at it yet and I think I'll make it, just have to remember to bring the video camera next time I'm in the mood to brake stuff . Think it's time to give the wife a good foot rub so I can get some diff oil for the rebuild[)]

Status: offline 		You may want to look at the new Airtronics MX-3FHSS

It is a pure digital signal and the Airtronics MX-3 FHSS is faster than the Spektrum. The Spektrum is 50Mhz and the Airtronics is 100Mhz. The Spektrum DX models are a old technology and once the Spektrum finds a signal it stays locked on that signal so it is more suceptible to interference or glitching. The Airtronics is pure digital with frequency hopping. The MX-3 FHSS searches for the best signal every couple of seconds. This reduces interference and glitching. The Futaba is analog to digital although it is a little faster than the Spektrum, it is not a pure digiatl signal. I hope this helps in making your decision for a new radio/transmitter.

Status: offline 		Just got my airtronics mx-3 fhss 2.4 w/ receiver. The receiver antena is only about 9 inches long. Hope that doesn't cut down the running space. Just wanted to know if it how it's made.

Status: offline 		Yeah that how it comes. I have most of my antenna in the battery box with about 3-4 inches sticking out through the body. that is how I have mine when I race. When I bash my Genesis, I extend the entire length of the antenna out of the battery box and body.

Status: offline 		I have seen racers with 2.4 Ghz radio keep their entire antenna in the battery box. Just extend it as far as you can if you bash to get the best possilble range.
