I have used that very system for over ten years. It has worked exactly as it should without failure. I have skinned wings with it, I have glassed wings with it.

I have since built my own system purely to get more vacuum for different applications.

I have used the Auto Vac system for 1 1/2 years Paulo, and LOVE it. Everything is set up and ready to use. To adjust the draw you just slide the rubber piece from the top of the tank and turn the screw with a flat screw driver. have been using it for all my foam wings (@ 10 Hg) and am now starting to play wth total fiberglass layups (@ 18 Hg).

A great tool you will learn to love and never want to be without again!

the same system I am using also...I have both the big and small vaccum pumps..both run great!

I had one, it was ok, although it couldn't keep up with my needs.

If you think you'll be serious about using vacumn bagging and molding, I'd suggest looking at pumps on E.B.A.Y. and setting up a system on your own. Its not that difficult, and you can find great industrial type pumps for about the same cost of what your looking at.

Hi,

Thanks for your opinnions about this pump.
I still don't have and propbaly never will have the skills needed for more serious composite fabrication but I'm very interested in this matters and I'll try to do something interesting with it. In time will see...

Hi,

I just received today my EZ Vacuum pump system plus, as you can see in the picture.
Now is time to start to do something with it.
The breed tissue is something like the FV filters used on aquariuns?
Do you think that perfurated film is advisable to use with this system?

Best regards

Hi Scorpion Racing,

I thought that 18'' would be less than adviable to make a total fiberglass layups. 7-8'' are clealy few for that kind of work. The reason I bought this kit was to start to work with simple things only to start to understand the material. I started to do a pair of servo covers and the work was not bad.
I'll try to cover a wing this month only do see what is the final job.

I intend to do some molding works as fuses and wings for electric gliders within 2,5mts. Of course that I have to use other pump for that.

Best regards,

Paulo Guimarães
