BigTruckDriver -> Which charger is better ? (4/20/2008 3:01:18 AM)

I am looking at either getting the Triton 2 or the Super Brain 989. Which is better? I have a few cars and trucks that are nitro and need the ir packs charged. I also have recently got into the eletric helicopter with lipos and need a charger for all. I do not know much about chargers but from what I read the triton 2 charges lipos with more than the 989 but the 989 has a output of 10 amps max. The triton 2 at 7 max , kinda confusing???

Triton 2

I use them both and niether is better really. They are close to the same specs, the mrc has slightly better specs and power, but maybe a few less features. It also comes with a nice power supply , and if you want to use on AC POWER THen that's worth something.

I think the linit for T-2 is 5S and the 989 is 8S for lipos and the current limit yopu posted is correct. 7 amps, and 10 amps.

Thatnks I am concerned with specs on power not really ALL the little features. Looks like the MRC migh be it.

The 989 has a max power of 106 watts and the Triton has a max power of 90 watts LI batts (84 useable watts for NI batts)
